Introduction

Hello, I'm Cyraen! A 20-something Artix Entertainment fan who's been playing their games since as far back as 2008.

I've played every single one of their mainline games so you can definitely expect me to join in conversations for any, but most of all, I love Mechquest and the Reset, and Dragonfable (if you ask me anything about the Reset, expect me to get very excited to talk about it)

Artix Entertainment has majorly impacted my childhood growing up and has led me to become a student in Game Design in the hopes of being able to express stories and bring the same sort of joy and fun to people that they brought me growing up

I'm a passionate OC maker who has made many many OCs, although my beloved will always be the Varsen siblings, Thallen and Aleena, who I use in every mainline AE games. Ask me about any of them and I'd gladly answer. And PLEASE share your OCs with me I'm so happy to see the creativity of other people and their characters

I unfortunately don't have artistic skills in the form of drawing like many of you amazing people here on Tumblr, but I still try to show my love to these games that shaped my childhood in any way I can, such as :

Mechquest Pride Headcanons

I like thinking of how Soluna City works and how it would celebrate the various holidays, so what about Pride?

Well, welcome to the Prismatic Constellation Festival (name pending), a month long festival in which Soluna City celebrates identity and uniqueness.

As spacefaring explorers, Loreonians have explored and connected with many species across a wide array of planets, and led a particularly social group of them to a realisation. The galaxy is a beautiful place, built of as many unique people as they are stars. A prismatic constellation of self-expression, as they began calling it.

So once a year, they celebrate this with a colorful festival to self-expression and identity.

All the while, meet Prism, an artistic sentient AI taking the form of a colorful, ever changing hologram who is always eager to learn more about how each person expresses themselves

Okay me being murdered violently by AQW aside, I do have a bit of a curious theory, under the cut for AQW spoilers

This is the third time there is an "out of bounds" location in the Flames From The Beyond saga. At first I thought it was just that Cylisse was leaning even more in the Merge stuff (because I mean it's such an amazing bit of worldbuilding and she's used it so well) but I'm realizing, all of these happen around the Yew Mountain Chain specifically

We learned this week that the Starship Carcossa had the goal of crossing the event horizon and reaching the center of the universe. And possibly it succeeded in that goal before the timeline merge. And we're told Forge Citrinitas hides us from the Law's reality altering

So what if all of these Out Of Bounds moment is because, simply put, Starship Carcossa managing to cross the event horizon caused it to become warped. To have it naturally tear at the laws of reality and leave holes to the outside of reality exposed. Or maybe it is simply a byproduct of its original purpose, the device that allowed it to reach its goal still running after all these years

A Thousand Thank Yous

It's a bit early to sentimental but 😂

Four years ago, Age of Ruin began almost immediately after Shadows of War II ended. When I wrote the outline, the grande finale felt like lightyears away, but suddenly, it's tomorrow!

Somehow, we're already here!

The team grew together and accomplished so much. I'm glad I got to reach such a huge milestone with them, and that you guys are going to be there, too!

This might be the Age of Ruin's end, but there's going to be even more adventures beyond - in a world forever changed!

I noticed this the other day in DF. You can find this in Oaklore as soon as you first get there in Book 1, well before the events of the Wind Orb Saga.

The boring thing to do would be to call it a plot hole, saying that they hadn't thought of the Wind Orb Saga yet and hadn't thought to set before Rhubarb was a ship captain. The funny thing to do is wonder, is there just a cereal mascot named Captain Rhubarb and sharing the name with the NPC is just a coincidence? Was Rhubarb once a captain and had his own brand of cereal before getting demoted and having to become a captain again? Is it named for an ancestor or the soon to be Captain Rhubarb the Hero has yet to meet? Is there some plot point from the Wind Orb Saga I'm forgetting that makes this make sense? How serious am I even being with this? These are all very good things to wonder about.

Personal theory? This is a holdover from the Reset and these cereals are nebulously based on Victoria's robot armor version of Captain Rhubarb

So even after he gets uncaptained by the Reset, these cereals are still there

The full weirdness of it really hit for me when I was working on making skins of my friend's OCs as NPCs for my Minecraft map and my friend got horrified by a Discord notification saying "All the OCs have finally been skinned!"
