After many years of self-doubt and aimless wandering, I finally decided to a take firm step on the grounds of self-actualization earlier this year. I have always dreamt of a space where young black women could be the authors of their own stories. A space where young black women could find mentorship, sisterhood, and wisdom in the stories of women young and old. A space where all these narratives and voices would come together and embody the utterance of our personal truths. I started Her Truth to fulfill this vision. It is my hope that you all can see the importance in envisioning and then actualizing a space for all black girls.
