Under my last Balance: Unlimited related post, I read a lot of comments saying that the ‘mysterious woman’ that I indicated in the opening is actually Suzue

So I analysed the two versions of the opening as well as rewatched every episode and I found some interesting things

If you didn’t read my previous post please go read it in order to understand this post! I pinned it so that you don’t have to search for it

Now let’s talk about the opening!

We all know that the opening changed. But do you know when it did? Because I didn’t. I thought that the opening changed after the anime has been cancelled due to COVID-19 in other words: episode 3.

But after rewatching the episodes I found out that the opening didn’t change in episode 3 but rather in episode 2! I only noticed in episode 3 since it was released after the COVID-19 situation and I watched what then I didn’t know was the first version of the opening a milion times on youtube. You may already have known this, but I did not..... but why change the opening in episode two already?

......guess when was Suzue introduced in the anime? None other than episode two.

Let’s see now how exactly has the opening changed. I will be focusing more on the female that appears in the opening.

Version 1 vs. Version 2

In version 1 we can clearly see that it’s Suzue. The chocker, the hairstyle the bracelets... it’s clearly Suzue.

In version 2 we have the same scene but in different colors. But we can still see that it’s Suzue. Again the chocker, the hairstyle, the bracelets. We all agree that it’s indeed Suzue, right? .... right?

Version 1 vs. Version 2

Other than the fact that in the second version the figure is a bit more to the left while in Version 1 the figure is right in the centre, it isn’t much different than the first case. The woman is now holding a key. And Suzue is an engneer. This just further proves that Suzue is indeed the woman in the pictures, right?

Version 1 vs. Version 2

Nothing changed here. Same scene. But my question is why is Suzue tied to a car unconscious? And her hair looks different, but then again her hair is pink in the second version so it’s probably not a very important detail.

Version 1 vs. Version 2

You can see that in Version 1 the lasers are more present than in the second person. Perhaps indicating that Daisuke is closer to this ‘mysterious woman’ with pink hair...

Let me put it this way.

Version 1 vs. Version 2

Suzue and the mysterious woman switched places

If you read my previous post, then you remember my theory about this ‘mysterious woman’ being a professional killer as well as Shigemaru Kambe’s parter and that she desguised herself as Daisuke’s father in order to kill Cho-san and Takei.

I know that everyone is saying that Suzue isn’t innocent. And honestly, I love that theory.

But let me do you one better.

What if the myterious woman switched places with Suzue to keep an eye on Daisuke so that he doesn’t find out the truth?

Let’s take a look at the last scene with the female figure in the opening

Version 1 vs. Version 2

Remember this exact same scene but with the key in version 1?

Its the same version. Yet the woman changed at the end.

Suzue is holding the key. While the ‘mysterious’ woman’ is holding the knife.

Think of of it this way.

In version 2 the woman doesn’t change. The pink haired woman with dark tan aka ‘mysterious woman’ is holding the key and the knife. It can mean that the ‘mysterious woman’ took Suzue’s place.

I mean think about it. Why would Shigemaru Kambe order the ‘mysterious woman’ to kill Cho-san and Takei only. He killed his own wife for the sake of his project, why wouldn’t he kill Suzue? I can understand if he ordered to kill everyone but Daisuke, his son.

When Suzue saw the fake Shigemaru (the ‘mysterious woman’ in desguise) she had a shocked expression on her face but let’s say that she is a traitor for a second.

The system went down. Which means tgat even HEUSC went down. It’s understandable if HEUSC wasn’t down, since he films everything 24/7 anybody could just rewind to see what happened and since Suzue knows that it obvious that she would play along so that Daisuke wouldn’t figure out that she is betraying him. But that wasn’t the case. The system went down, HEUSC went down, therefore no photage of the incident.

And yet we, the viewers, clearly saw Suzue’s reaction. If she wanted to trick Haru that was listening she could’ve just said “How.... are you still alive?” and pretended to be knocked out by the killer. But we viewers saw her holding the gun, ready to shoot whoever that was. If she was a traitor she would’ve known about the plan and meet up with the killer. But that wasn’t the case.

This is what I think happened:

Notice how in the first version of the opening the ‘myterious woman’ didn’t appear until we see Suzue tied to the car?

Suzue was kidnapped, possibly killed. The mysterious woman killed Cho-san and Takei, disguised herself as Suzue and hid the knocked out Suzue inside the house until she can relocate her to another place later or maybe she won’t? HEUSC doesn’t give Daisuke any information related to his parents or Lab 3, since she used Shigemaru’s hand imprint in the first place to get into the building and go past the firewalls, she can easily order HEUSC as Shigemaru Kambe again to ‘cover’ for her and not say a thing to Daisuke. The ‘mysterious woman’ is a pro, you are wrong if you think that she wouldn’t have the time to do all that, add Kambe’s industry’s technology and HEUSC to the mix and there you have it.

This might be very far fetched but I found it interesting. A theory where Suzue isn’t a traitor that is. But I gonna say: It would be more interesting is Suzue was a traitor.
