The Hextrio means so much to me. The three of them were all bullied and harassed by so many people in their lives only to meet each other all become obsessed almost immediately.
When Amity was forced to stop being friends with Willow, she insulted her magic abilities (something Willow is very sensitive about). Later, she’s forced to go through school life while enduring harassment from Amity, Boscha, and Skara. But she later meets Gus, the overly optimistic boy, and becomes her first friend since Amity.
Gus was tricked and manipulated by his classmates. As his powers go awry and he starts to talk down on himself, he meets Willow, the girl with the heart of gold, who teaches him a breathing technique that he still uses to his day.
Even though Willow messed up her project and just attacked her, Luz is immediately obsessed with her and thinks Willow is the coolest. A minute later, Luz offers to help Willow pass her test (and is successful).
At Hexside, as soon as Luz and Gus meet, Luz gives Gus his nickname and he’s immediately in love with it.
Not a single one of them have hurt each other when they met, they all love each other so much and they’re so cute.
