For context! Much like how there's no physical sign appearing on his target when OG!Mychael uses his powers, the same can be said for MR!Mychael when he uses his!

I've explained before how his power works, it's actually involuntary unless he bothers to dig deeper. So you could be having a normal conversation with him and not know at all he has complete access to your thoughts.

This goes for both OG! and MR! but the whole point of them smoothing their edges for human perception and hiding their abilities from everyone else is that anything out of place about them (other than the obvious physical differences) is you're not supposed to know how dangerous they can be!

You're safe with them! They promise! They promise!!

I just think his arm would be v nice. Very firm and warm with this gentle squish when it's relaxed. It would be very nice to fall asleep against him, cheek against his shoulder and his arm round you holding you up. He is no mortal; you weigh less than even his feathers. Sleep is always comfortable and your dreams are always pleasant with him around

Melodic, low in their chest. Like music. Pure and slow and warm. Affection wrapped deep within the sound.

🌀 -> Do they have a reoccurring dream or nightmare?

They're out in the woods.

They're out in the woods and they're searching for something. Someone. It's cold, and it's raining, and they're running so fast that their feet ache and their lungs burn.

He's out here somewhere.

When they wake they're never sure if it's their father or Seth or someone else entirely. But they know, in the nightmare, that they're looking for him. Whoever he may be.

And then their running slows. Their breathing goes along with it. Suddenly every footstep takes effort, every breath must be ripped from their lungs.

Weight crashes over them until they're exhausted. Mud sucks at their feet, gulping them into the ground, slowing their charge.

They're not going to make it.

They're going to fail him.

Again.

⚓ -> What does "home" mean to them?

Home is easy. Home is people.

It's the way their mother holds them for a little too long whenever they hug her. The way she always calls after a search to check in. The way she shows up at their doorstep holding new boots, because she knows them well enough to see that they'll never replace them themself.

It's the way Sierra falls asleep on their couch after a long night of watching movies, the most comfortable and the safest she's ever been. The way she teases and pokes and prods. The way she still holds their hand when she's scared, even though she thinks she's much too old for that sort of thing.

It's the way Yasmin notices that they're stressed and asks them to come change a lightbulb she can't reach, because she knows them, and she knows that they need to feel like they're doing something to help. The way she drags them out to eat and talks and talks and talks until suddenly they're relaxed again. The way they speak a silent language that nobody else understands.

It's the way Ravi is there, always there, quiet and curious and prodding. The way he takes their hand and holds it, even though they know how scared he is to touch other people. The way they can talk about anything, can lose themselves in meaningless debates or quiet confessions, the way he seems to understand them in ways they can barely fathom.

That, to Jay, is home.
