If you’re into jazzy, offbeat, abstract hip hop and haven’t heard For: AM by Obba Supa yet, please do yourself a favor and check it out. Incredible album, easily one of my favorites of the past decade and possibly of all time. Teknical Development is a great emcee with a distinct style/flow and Hey!Zeus’s production is fucking ridiculous. Some of the most rich, dense, and well layered beats i’ve ever heard in my life. The album just has such a unique sound and atmosphere to it, it’s almost like Funcrusher Plus’s jazzy british cousin.

Before I even delve into the song, let me get to the visuals. Big ups to director Ruffmercy as this is some serious next level shit. The first time I saw his video for Blu and FlyLo's 'D O I N N O T H I N' I thought it was pretty inventive and one of the more standout videos of 2012. But it's apparent with 'Fuck a Rap Song' Ruffmercy has only elaborated with his craft while splashing animation in all the right places yet capturing the dark, almost demonic tone that Dahlia Black put on this track. Dahlia Black consists of accomplished UK rapper and producer (who, yes produced this one and launched this Dahlia project) Blue Daisy, along with rapper Hey!Zeus. Between exhaling blunts, the two MC's show they aren't your run of the mill rap gimmick (in case you cant tell from the video already). The beat is minimal, yet effective, and overall makes for one hot song with proper visuals to match.
