Storytime with Setsu

So it's been about a week and a half since I arrived in Seattle and I had my first interview today at a small brokerage firm for commercial properties which I think went really well despite the fact that I was a half hour late to my appointment.

Why was I late you ask?

Because the bus route I planned out via google/hopstop was a lie and was actually on some kind of a detour but, when I finally arrived at the detour stop, it never showed up. But, knowing that the place was close enough to walk, I re-routed for walking directions and then hoofed it. For some strange reason, the walking directions sent me down, over, and back so I literally could have just crossed the street and picked up from there but that's besides the point. The POINT is that in the 2 minutes it took me to walk around the block, the bus I needed FINALLY showed up AND left and I got to the corner just in time to see it chugging off.

In that moment I very much desired to flip a dozen tables.

That aside, I should hear back monday and if that goes well, I get to meet the rest of the seattle team. And if THAT goes well, they want me to go down to meet the people in the portland office - yes, Portland,OR - since the entire northwest is one cohesive unit. I kind of really hope I get this job, I liked the atmosphere of the place and the work is demanding without being out of my skill set and I just - I'm crossing my fingers.

This is a PSA. Kind of.

Long story short, I'm relocating across the entirety of the united states on saturday and I am packing up my desktop to mail out ahead of time. I've obsessively stock piled posts in my queue as a result and I shouldn't be completely without access to the internet but if all goes quiet on the western front, just wanted you all to know what was what.

Those of you who have my number, feel free to use it at will. Unlimited texting and all that jazz. Everyone else, I'll see you on the flip.
