Experiment... Reblog if it's ok for people to read/like your rps even if they aren't involved in them
Right now, he was more creepy than anything else. However, already frequently interacting with his own Mephiles was perhaps granting him a tolerance to that. Most of the time. The creature of darkness still managed to make his insides churn now and then.
"—No." Not yet, anyway.
"Then why so tense, my..." Mephiles nearly said friend, but recalling how awfully Shadow responded, he retracted that thought and instead said, "good acquaintance...?"
He shifted his weight, looking at the glimmer in Shadow's rings. They were bright where Mephiles' were dull. "I have to find 'my' Shadow, though I don't quite understand how one can belong with another. Did you mayhaps mean as soulmates? If so, I'm glad for you."
The goddess looked over at Mephiles. Already she could feel a small shiver up her spine. Something wasn’t quite right. However she shook it off and smiled her usual smile at the dark being. “It’s not often I see someone like you either."
"Mephiles, the dark, at your pleasure." He said, giving a wide bow. His shadow was darker than usual, and he seemed so chilly too. 'Dark being' was simply accurate...
"And you are, my lady?"

He bristled - the glow in her eyes and the glimmer of her hair and the angelic light on her made him feel dizzy. Mephiles winced but quickly returned to a pokerface. "It's not often I see someone so heavenly as you," He said with a dry chuckle, himself being from a diametrically opposite world.
The feline’s eyes narrowed slightly at the proffered hand, a wave of apprehension assaulting her senses. She resisted the urge to step back from him, standing her ground and eyeing him with curious suspicion.
Please, no need for such formalities.
Why not, purple guy?
Mephiles asked, taking himself back. He stood lightly, as if he were about to drift away at the slightest breeze. He regarded her tension gaily: the twitch of her fingers, the furrow of her brow, how she recoiled from him but took no steps away. He nearly laughed.
Nope! Shadow did nothing but give a very unimpressed eye to the other’s hand, one that was from down his almost upturned nose. He didn’t care if this Mephiles wasn’t the same as the one in his world- he still didn’t like the guy- at all. "I’m not your friend."
"Surely," Mephiles blinked slowly. "We've barely been acquainted; my eyes are old and I must have mistaken you for another, yes?" He laughed a dry laugh.
"My name is Mephiles. And you are?" His head adopted a small tilt.
Shadow took a few steps away to compensate. Like hell he was going to grant them the chance to join forces against him.
"Not likely. He’s irritating enough on his own."
Mephiles glanced down. When he stepped forward, Shadow stepped back. It was as if they were dancing, Mephiles mused. He glanced back up, a glint in his placid eyes.
"Am I irritating?"

"Hello, yellow guy." Mephiles was almost impressed with this fellow's size - he was massive.
Blaze fondly smiled, nodding quickly to Mephiles. She felt very happy at the compliment and did nothing to not show it. She was slightly confused at what he said next... about not being mortal, so she decided to think more deeply about it later.
But, her grin disappeared when he took a slow almost weak looking step to her. Alarms were blaring in her head. For a second she thought Details had gotten control. Her legs made her move back without her order. Details definitely still had a hold... she'd have to fix that. Yet, Blaze couldn't keep her eyes from being wide.
"Don't you dare take one step!" She hissed. Her voice sounded similar to a rusted knife being dragged against stone. This wasn't her. She wasn't afraid of Mephiles! She'd stand her ground. Except Details felt otherwise.
"What's the matter? I thought you'd be brave. It's not like I've even made a move to assail you." Mephiles did stop where he was though. He looked at her through narrow eyes. He was getting a vibe from her, that her mind was not all there.
"Is everything right about you or is there something you prefer to hide...?" He kept his inquisitive gaze upon her, meeting her mad eyes.
…Shadow chose to ignore that comment about his mouth.
"I’m already dealing with another version of you. I’m not exactly thrilled to know alternates of him exist."
"Oh really? I'd be quite thrilled. How are you handling him? Is he causing any trouble?" He took a step closer to Shadow, standing next to him. "Perhaps you should introduce us." Mephiles said airily.
*He then moved his hand away after shaking his and raised a brow at the look he had on his face* This size and the strength worry me I don’t want to hurt anyone
Ah, with the right tutelage you'd learn the slightest finesse when handling yourself.
*Mephiles nodded slowly, agreeing with himself*
Have you hurt someone yet, intentionally or otherwise?
"I don’t need gratitude for something that was stolen.”
"Copied, fabricated, imitated...all are words more fitting. And besides, I don't have a mouth to make that cute little pout." Mephiles waved off Shadow's words breezily. "Did I come across you at a bad time?"
"Ah-hah-hah-hah-..." Blaze's was laughing, her eyes bright with amusement, a smile across her lips. But, immediately it disappeared. She stepped out from Mephiles' grip. Satisfied she no longer felt Details around, she offered a wink.
"Aren't you a charmer. But, sorry, sunshine, I've learned that men just tend to..." The feline rubbed her chin as if searching for a word. She then snapped her fingers, "screw things up! There we go!"
"I've ruled my kingdom just fine. No Kings are left anyway," Blaze rolled her eyes. "But really Mephy, I love how your trying to be a match maker and giving me the whole 'its gonna get better' speech. Your awesome."
Everything Blaze said dripped with dry humor. She was grinning, but a dark glint flickered in her eyes.
"Or you could always eat them-" He paused when she dragged herself away from him. That only amused him. "Charm is not exactly my area of prowess...but thank you for the compliment,"
He sniffed, placed a hand on his hip. "You have a strong head, Blaise, that's good, great. Don't let mortals get you down and you might not end up mortal." Mephiles said, offering one more bit of 'advice'.
To experiment, he took a languid step towards her.
Blaze ears twitched with slight discomfort, however she moved and lightly took his hand before shaking and quickly letting go.
"… Pleasure to meet you Mephiles…"
He noted the ear twitch, placidly giving a blink. His hand hovered briefly before lowering back to his side.
"And to you, Blaze. Why so wary?"
Blaze warily looked over at him, the corner of her own smile twitching. She hadn't realized the hedgehog had no mouth... now that she thought about it, that was much more creepier than the eyes.
"A king? Bah, I don't need that..." The feline couldn't stop her shoulders from tensing and her eyes narrowing a fracture, the clouded yellow iris of them now sharp.
She didn't feel the need to do any of this though. Within no doubt, Blaze knew it was Details. She could practically hear the other humming warnings at Blaze. The feline shook her head as if trying to shoo away invisible flies.
"Why do you ask, sunshine?" Blaze crossed then her arms. Her shoulders went loose again and a smirk danced along her lips.
"Curiousity, my good lady. If queen has no king, she is either a regent or a regnant, and it seems I was correct in my guesses!" Mephiles shrugged widely. He noticed her tensing, but made no look of it.
Rather, he waltzed up beside her and, placed a cool hand on her shoulder. "Just some advice, be sure to make them wait. Your suitors will show true colours after a good four or five years of maybes and giggles." He said with a delicious tone.
"Blaze… what is yours oh annoying one?"
A prickly lass... "Mephiles, the dark." He held out a hand for a shake and formal greeting.
