The June 2017 rewards on my Patreon are getting super juicyyyy! I just completed this mixed media painting last night, and I’m so happy about it! It took about a day to finish (with several breaks in between). The struggle was real! You can see all of my WIP photos + art rants on my Patreon. I freaking love Sailor Moon. Probably way more than a normal person should. X'D I grew up watching her and she inspired *so much* of my childhood + influenced my art in immeasurable ways! I'm extremely pleased with the way this painting turned out, and I can't wait to do more!

Guess who finally picked up acrylic paint and decided to learn how the hell to use it? 😂💕 This quick painting started as a determined experiment. I had zero idea what I was doing. All I knew was that I wanted to better understand acrylic paint and how to blend it, mix it, and layer it. It performs so different than water! But I’m happy with the way my experiment turned out, and I feel 10x more confident with acrylic now that I’ve really poured some time and effort into it! Prints will be available soon in my store, and more behind the scenes work on this piece (tools used, high res scan, etc) will be available tomorrow on my Patreon! I’ll also be uploading a speed-paint video of this to YouTube. ☺️💕 This is the Dark Lady from #SailorMoon!
