We traveled all over Ohio photographing and listening to people's stories. . This is Kayelin's story. The goal of pageantry is to develop confident, intelligent, and engaging women. I knew that if I wanted this title, not just the sash and crown but a reputation of confidence, I would have to become a woman that is healthy in mind and body. For the first time ever, I was motivated. Motivated to understand my depression. Motivated to understand my value. I have used my pageant platform to advocate for young people suffering in silence with poor mental health and low self-esteem and my goal has been to educate people on the importance of speaking up and seeking help. Over the past few months I've been working on a very rewarding project with the great team over at @reverbartdesign. Hey, I'm Here is a youth-led community engaged in changing the conversation when it comes to our mental wellness. We traveled all over Ohio photographing and listening to people's stories. This is Elizabeth, she what's to be a photographer and loves taking pictures so we had plenty to talk about. This past week she even assisted me on the last round of portraits in Columbus. This is her story - I get bullied a lot at school and I want to believe that it does not always bother me, but it does. I struggle daily with my depression, ADHD, anxiety, and insecurities.       The title's kinda cheesy I know, but out of boredom it's the only thing that pop up in my mind.
