I was bored, so I (re)drew some artwork for an old Hi-Fi Rush AU I made:

Details for the AU under the cut for anyone interested:

So I decided I might call the AU "Forced Family Business", FFB for short. I only came up with that tonight. I didn't have a name for the AU before, and I never really did anything with it other than some art and an unfinished roleplay, neither of which made it to the public and was done with a former close friend of mine.

The premise: Peppermint gets captured by Kale (don't ask how or why, I didn't figure out specifics) and brought to him. He decides he'd use SPECTRA on her, or try to, but it's incompatible with her leg since it isn't Armstrong tech.

To fix that, he creates a chip that he implants in it (which, of course, she has to be unconscious for - I highly doubt she'd let ANYONE touch it while conscious) that should make it compatible. The chip isn't perfect, however, which allows Peppermint to have intermittent spells of lucidness.

During one such spell, she is able to remotely update 808 to give her the ability to speak without being controlled so she can go get help. Thus, 808 finds and recruits Chai, and the story properly begins.

And... that's basically the main thing? There are a few specific bits of the story I have thoughts for, but we'll see if I ever decide to share them or even do something more with this AU. I doubt it, but... there's this for now.

Same and on who asked Mr. Vandelay about his opinions on mochi, how does he work? He doesn’t look like any of the other robots on the Vandeley campus.

itll be over for me the moment i come up with a possible hi fi au where I can throw the captain into it, i said. anyway you would not believe what has happened

hi fi rush canon is happening in the background of this au. this is so funny to me cuz imagine looking at hfr plot and going oh and god is real but thats not relevant here

local man goes blind after staring at a goddess his mortal eyes were not ready to perceive. justice is blind. he is a captain!! originally caught a glimpse of ianite at sea and that made his eyes super sensitive to light, so shades. the full blind thing came later when seeing her more directly for a longer time, but he never decided to stop wearing the glasses. i am predictable so tubbo is his son and is around too. may or may not have injured one of his eyes fighting a shadow. the darkness has hands. eye for an eye.

iskalls part of a bit of a rival tech company to vandelay. architechs real and canon. they might have a demon trapped in a vessel somewhere in the building. for unrelated reasons grian is no longer allowed to touch any tech related things. tubbo apprentices with iskall. he designed caps extendo-cane. the mechanism for the extending bit was very simple and the cogs are pretty much purely aesthetic.

gets an invite to project armstrong for some funky cybernetic eyes. surely nothing will go wrong. surely he shouldnt read into the fact that they acknowledged that he can’t see but didnt offer a way for him to know what the fine print says. surely the fine print isnt important.

but hey he gets funky new eyes! they glow blue usually. and it turns out they let him see his lady again :D they glow purple when hes looking at her. definitely nothing else notable going on with the eyes, nothing to worry about.

For Mr. Vandelay, how does it feel being the CEO of Vandelay?

Was it hard climbing up the corporate ladder?

For mochi, how does Chai take his coffee? I'd imagine he takes it practically all milk :P

Mochi: Hello! Mr. Vandere likes his coffee like his soul… extremely watered down with milk and sugar!

Ginseng: Sir, we don't have the resour- Chai: Did I ask about resources?! I don't care about RESOURCES! I want to FIND this guy, and tell them I like my coffee very cool and awesome, like me! Ginseng: There's nothing wrong wit- Chai: I'll give you a raise. Ginseng: ..Yes sir. Meanwhile, on the other side of Vandelay… Roquefort: I…felt someone offer a raise that isn't in the budget.

For Kian: What's it like working under Chai? You're his secretary, I'd assume you'd have a more in-depth answer since you basically work by his side every day.

Kian: Um... it's... fine. Can't really say too much, it just doesn't feel right to be talking about Mr. Vandelay behind his back, you know? Plus, he'll probably see this later and God knows what he's going to say to me. I don't get paid enough to put up with this...
