how abt a character (can be anyone: hero/villain/sidekick/some random teen/adult etc anyone) facing troubles with sleeping at night for almost a month and then they finally are able to get a good night's rest 😃 take it as u want, but the main genre is comfort and no catanna, no one dies.
“Reduced work efficiency may be one of the effects of sleep deprivation. And we don’t want that, do we?” The hero circled the villain until they stood in front of them. “You’re way too ambitious for that.”
“My performance is good.”
“I’ve seen children who can control their powers better than you,” the hero said. Looking at their enemy’s uniform, they raised an eyebrow. “Needs cleaning.”
“You’re so irritating.”
“Listen,” the hero snapped. “I haven’t been feeling any better than you have. But I’m giving you the opportunity of a good night. A restful night.”
The villain looked like a ghost. Thin, too. It made the hero sick, even though they tried to hate the villain with all their heart. It wasn’t possible. Would never be possible, they feared.
“But if we sleep in one bed, we’ll touch and when we touch, we’ll start kissing and when we kiss, we will—”
Suddenly, the hero combed through the villain’s hair with their delicate fingers, taking their time and pulling gently at the roots.
“Have you been eating enough?”
“Look, I don’t know, I’ve been all over the place.” The hero sighed gently and intertwined their fingers with the villain’s. Both were guilty of closing their eyes and enjoying the moment too much.
A month ago, their supervisors had found out about their relationship. They had forced them to break up and, well, now they sucked at their jobs and were in terrible conditions. Not exactly what their bosses had anticipated but it was reality and it hurt.
“I still love you, you know?” the hero whispered.
“Don’t, please…”
“Your call,” the hero added quickly. “I offer you the bed with me and I offer you the couch alone. Whatever you want.”
The villain didn’t reply. Instead, they looked torn, as if they were fighting with themselves.
“Do you want some pizza?” the hero asked.
“I don’t want you to get hurt,” the villain said. “I can’t.”
“It’s just one night.” The hero leaned against them, head perfectly fitting into the curve of the villain’s neck. They heard the villain sigh and felt how they pulled them closer. “Besides, you’re the one who got hurt first.”
They pressed their fist into the villain’s side, putting a little pressure on a big bruise. As a result, the villain hissed and the hero smiled gently.
“Be more careful next time.”
“I’m trying.” The villain pulled away and looked at their hero. They seemed…sadder. “You’re right. I got sloppy, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologise,” the hero said, standing up on their tiptoes to kiss the villain’s forehead. “So, pizza? The usual?”
“Yes, pizza. The usual.”
The villain took the couch. However, after half an hour of tossing and turning, they joined the hero and had the most wonderful lazy sleep in their entire life, followed by giggling and sweet kisses in the morning.
