My next (and long overdue) review:
HGTO MS-04 Bugu!
As the successor to the Waff, this mobile suit was designed as the final war machine intended for combat use in Zeon’s growing arsenal against the EFSF. But, it was way too costly to mass produce and most pilots couldn’t withstand the speed and reaction times needed to successfully pilot the unit. Thus, the Zaku 1 was born and the Bugu (much like the Tallgeese) was confined to mothballs, bar 1 unit assigned to Ace pilot Ramba Ral.
The kit itself is amazing. Articulation, as always in the Origins line, is quite substantial. The chest flexes in and out at the shoulders to assist in wider stances, the elbows and knees are double jointed and the head moves on two separate joints as well as featuring a rotating mono-eye gimmick.
Weapons are fairly simple, being an old unit it features the ancient 88mm machine gun and heat hawk accompanied by a simple shield for defensive purposes.
I painted my kit up with a few details added as, with the base kit, it’s almost completely molded in a simple blue colour that does not do the kit much justice. I chose a light blue with matt finish and royal blue with a gloss finish to coat my kit in. But with the parts separation, it wouldn’t be difficult to customise yours as you wish.
I give it 9/10 - Simple yet effective and worth the money for a substandard mobile suit.
