nothing but the truth. (1/10)

Redemption is a fool’s errand, or so you like to tell yourself. For all your outward confidence that it’s impossible, you know deep down that it might be—maybe. That the chance is greater than zero is something you don’t like to acknowledge, because you know you can’t be redeemed. Redemption would mean starving yourself of what your body needs, letting yourself grow weak, waiting out the temptation and hunger until it literally kills you...and somehow repeating that horrific cycle over and over until some higher power deems it to be ‘enough.’
And so redemption is nigh impossible for you, if even a sliver of a chance exists at all in the first place. It’s different for Angel, though. You’ve seen plenty of the good in him for yourself to know that it’s there, and if any demon could achieve redemption, it would be him.
“.....Alone.” That’s how you’ll feel with him gone one day. You’re not going to chance trying to be articulate right now. One true word should suffice.
