I'm going to be honest. All this controversy I've been seeing about the Magikeepers is dumb as it's clear that Nishi is clearly going to be addressing things like misogyny, conservativism and gender norms. I've been seeing so many bad takes and folks jumping to the worse conclusions.

78th Hunt: Chance Meetings are Fate

Tensions between the Witch's Association and the Magikeepers is pretty high, but Ichi is just living his best life right now 😅 He and Higarashi seem to get along great! I'm so happy to see that, Ichi making friends is always a joy.

Chun seems pretty set in his ways, but I'm wondering if Ichi can change his mind or reform the way the organizations work together. For now: I dislike Chun, not sure about the dark skinned guy, and I like Higarashi and Boxster well enough.

ALSO I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!!! I barely saw the title of the chapter, and I felt sus when they wouldn't show us the face of that third magikeeper, his hair is strangely familiar. Then Ichi's senses tingled and I knew! I knew it had to be Minataka!!!

He was introduced all the way back in chapter 10, but I knew he had to come back. He made a big impact on Ichi, and it's his fish-filleting method that helped Ichi capture Hisame.

Minataka would definitely be a draw for Ichi to check out what the Magikeepers do, but I don't think he would leave the association unless the whole of Team Desscaras came with him, which seems unlikely.

Spica and Higarashi "canon" interaction (aka cifro's delulu headcanon)

Spica's inner thoughts/monologue in ch45 is kinda dry and thorny (in JP more or less), so I thought if Higarashi really do have some Harvest Family connections, it makes me wanna see them verbally tear each other's throats in a barrage of quick snarks, cynical sneers, and funny shenanigans lol

Anyways had this on my sketches and head since ch82's CP dropped. Might as well put it out now since we're not in a fight anymore lmao

Swordsmith Chihiro in Ichi The Witch AU in which due to his reputation of killing the Sword Saint, the Magikeepers continue to knock on his shed to recruit him and he is done with them. An expert swordsman, able to pick up on tinyndetails and a straight up powerful guy. And he just wants to get the hell out of his shed.

He finds Boxster to be annoying, he outright despises Chun, he remains neutral on Higarashi, but does hold some respect for Minakata.
