FRAME YOUR WORLD ~ PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Hebrews 11:3). The verse above is so powerful! To get the full import of its message, let’s take a closer look at some of the key words. The first one is “worlds,” which is translated from the Greek word, “aion.” Aion refers to the course of life: how things go with you and how they work around you. It refers to the world as it is: its systems and directions—the different eras, like you’d say, “the life and times of Mr James,” or “The era of the Roman emperors,” the age, or successive ages of men or societies. Another key term is “word,” which is rendered “rhema” in Greek. Rhema refers to the Word that God speaks, which He addresses directly to the human spirit. It’s different from the “Logos” of God, which created the world: “In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos) was God” (John 1:1). Our opening verse, however, isn’t talking about the creation of all things. It says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God….” This is talking about your life and your “aion”: using your faith to frame, repair, arrange, or fashion your life and your world to synchronize with God’s perfect will. This was what the great elders of faith did: They “framed” their world by the Word (Rhema) of God. That’s another key word: “framed,” which is from the Greek, “katartizo.” It means to mend, to fix, to set in order, to arrange, and to fashion. The elders of faith received the “Rhema” of God, and corrected, fashioned their times with “Rhema”—the spoken Word. The Lord Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). That’s “Rhema.” When God speaks His Word to your heart, He’s giving you “Rhema” and He expects you to declare it. No matter what happens in the world, refuse to fret; you’re not of the world. Maintain this consciousness or otherwise you’ll be walking against the Word of God without realizing it, thereby exposing yourself to unnecessary challenges, difficulties and frustrations, because you’re not living in the consciousness of God’s favour. . Walking in favour doesn’t mean that the flood will not come. Remember, He warned Noah ahead of the flood, and instructed him to build an ark and stay in the ark. It would have been foolish for Noah to pray against the water, instead of acting on the Word to build and stay in the ark. Live in the ark of God—His Word—and you’ll never be disadvantaged in life, because you’ve found favour with the Lord. . There’re some who think that if everything is all right, then they’ll find favour with God; no. It’s the favour of God on your life that makes everything all right, and not the other way round. God wants you to have the consciousness; the awareness that nothing is designed to work against you! Actually, He already did by sending Jesus and making eternal life available through Him. If Christ lives in you, it makes no difference what you're going through; He'll make you triumphant! His life in you makes you indomitable!  . This is the Gospel: We've got to tell the whole world that Christ has come, and therefore life has come. No more sickness; no more pain; no more defeat; and no more death! Now that Christ lives in you, you're not ordinary; you have the essence of divinity. Eternal life is in you now!
