Well, it hadn’t been his intention to get hurdled through space and wind up a battered mess on unfamiliar ground, but here he was. As far as he knew, they’d won that battle but with he and Black out of commission, there was little to be done about what could happen next. To him all that mattered was getting a diagnostics check on Black rather than knowing what was going on with himself. Getting ejected to the ground though, well he couldn’t say it wasn’t unsettling. He knew it was likely a precaution she’d done to prevent further injury, but now he was in a space he didn’t know first hand. Which only made him uneasy. For all he knew, this could be a hostile environment and he was a sitting duck right now with the scent of blood all over him.
The first thing he did though was ensure Black had her particle barrier up to keep her safe, then he went about finding a spot he could sit down and take the weight off his bruised and battered limbs. He sighed softly before taking a deep breath to try and center his thoughts, listening to everything around him. Nature. These were sounds he recognized, faintly so for how long it had been, but recognized all the same. It didn’t take long for his presence to attract a few animals, his lap soon covered with smaller creatures because he was so still and non-threatening. Amusement settling on his features as he found himself running his marred digits over fur and idly trying to gather himself in the meantime.
What he wasn’t expecting though was the sound of footsteps. Blood skewed vision was he had at the moment, he hadn’t had a chance to really gather himself enough to clean up. “I know you’re there. I can’t see you but I can hear you.” The animals didn’t seem disturbed, a few felines perhaps curious and batting at his arm to tell him so as he shifted to reach up and try to wipe the blood from his eyes a bit more. Perhaps this person wasn’t a threat? Or at least, not one to the animals. For the moment, that was enough for him to not be entirely on guard. The damage wasn’t as bad as it looked, really. He was still capable of movement and that was enough for him if there was a threat. After a few moments of finally getting the red out of his eyes and the bleeding to stop above his brow, he turned his gaze towards where he’d heard the footsteps. A relatively.. Human looking person?
Not relatively either-- no, that was certainly a human. Or at least, a very human like something. With as much as he’d seen in the past few years, he wouldn’t chalk anything up to just sight alone anymore. “I have no idea where I’m at right now but I’m pretty sure it isn’t Earth, so if you’re masquerading around as a human because of how I look, it’s unnecessary.”
