A pirate Hilerbin, a race of people from Zanteria, and his pet mimic, who keeps his treasure safe in its jaws.

The smallest of Zanteria's races, they're small folk who present characteristics of plants and fungi. The Hilerbin are a race of people who are very divided while staying the same. Hilerbin culture and populations can be easily divided into two.
Grass Hilerbin are the smaller of the subraces, their skin tones vary in the green spectrum because of their connection to plants, being part of their bodies themselves.
These symbiotic plants can take the shape of almost any plant known to Zanterians, ranging from cacti to even lotus flowers, from the strange carnivorous plants to the beautiful roses and the pine trees.
The kinds of plants that adorn their bodies vary depending on the climate they live in. These plants can also present themselves in the form of hair-like foliage or flower petals, although regular hair can also grow on their small heads.
They have a long tail and at the end of it, a single flower sprouts, which can signify the person's mood (for example, in a flirty or very happy mood the flower might bloom, and in a sad mood it might look almost withered, in an angry mood it might look like it has thorns, etc.), and it's also where seeds to make Hilerbin babies come from.
When two Hilerbin mate, their tails produce a seed which can be planted and a single pod containing a baby Hilerbin will sprout from the ground.
They also have large ears which allow them to communicate between individuals, and the largeness of their ears is something they're proud of. Despite this, ear sizes might vary between climates, hotter climates having Hilerbin with longer ears and colder climates having them with smaller ears.
Their feet are longer in proportion that those of other races, because while they usually walk in a plantigrade posture, they often run in a digitigrade stance to allow them to maneuver in small spaces more easily.
Hilerbin often live in underground dens, with the entrances and chambers close to the surface to allow them to easily go out to take in sunlight, which can help them survive with no food.
They're very dexterous in many ways, and many of them are very skilled tinkerers and craftsmen not matched by any race but the Nephilim and their signature elegant craftmanship.
They're also very playful and social in nature, which can make them seem mischievous and sometimes rude to other cultures, even among other Hilerbin since social and playful traditions may vary from society to society, and it's even more evident when comparing Grass Hilerbin to Fungal Hilerbin.
Another one of their skills is the way they use herbs and other plant-based products, be it in cuisine, medical remedies or crafts, like baskets.
Grass Hilerbin don't eat crops, instead having a wide array of mushrooms and domestic animals they eat, their cooking not sometimes being appreciated by others because of the lack of plant-based spices and ingredients.
