What if Deacon's little side project 'Code-name Wanderer' was actually about...the Lone Wanderer? Ten years on, the girl who saved the Capitol Wasteland is a divisive, legendary figure across the ruined landscape she once roamed. Some blame her for the suffering that the Brotherhood inflicted on the people of the wasteland afterwards, fewer trumpet her achievements and try to turn her into a living myth. The Lone Wanderer herself just wants to have something, anything in life worth living for after losing everything to Project Purity. So when a mysterious holotape shows up in her garden shed with a plea for help from a familiar group, she heads north looking for purpose. She finds far more than she bargained for.

In my fic, I was going to have my Rook go along to pick up Emmrich at the Necropolis like you do in game. Then I thought about how it would be infinitely funnier for him to be like hmm, no, you guys do that and I’ll go with Neve to meet these Crows she’s talking about. Going through all the bullshit involved in getting Lucanis free, being wholly exhausted, and abruptly meeting a dapper necromancer who is so your type that it’s ridiculous? That’s better. You’re covered in blood, you want to sleep for like two days, and you stand there gaping at this gentleman who still insists upon shaking your hand despite all of the above.

Magnificent. 11/10
