🥂 - To enjoy an Easter dinner with my muse
The dodo had been roasted to perfection, the sides all neatly prepared and presented with an artistic flair. Wine sat in a ice bucket nearby, ready to be poured at the diner’s whims. Gan had spared no expense or detail when it had come to planning this meal. After all, she had had heard rumors about the Lord and wanted him to walk away from their encounter impressed.
When D’ata arrived, he was escorted to the lounge where a nice fire was blazing and sake had been poured and was waiting for him. Once he had taken a seat, Gan stepped into the lounge and offered a polite smile. She had labored over what she should wear, how to do her hair--she had even taken the time to put on some small amount of makeup for the occasion.
Settling down into a chair near his, Gan reclined and reached for a cup of sake, taking a small sip. “I’m glad you decided to show. I know I’m no Hingan noble but I hope I can show you a good time all the same.” With a smirk she stood, offering him a hand.
While she had been greeting her guest, the table had been set, food plated, wine poured. No detail was spared. Gesturing for D’ata to seat himself, she took her own seat across the table from him and reached for her wine.
“I do hope it’s all to your liking. I cooked it all myself. Normally I’m not one for Eorzean holidays, but I couldn’t help myself this time.” She let out a chuckle and politely waited for her guest to start eating before she took a bite.
The night passed amicably with the pair firing off pointed and obvious flirts, verbally sparring with one another once in awhile inbetween--which at one point Gan had threatened to turn into a physical spar. She may be dressed up, and she may have grown up away from the Steppes but she was still a Xaela through and through.
When the evening was over and several bottles of wine and sake had been gone through, Gan accompanied D’ata to the door. Placing a hand on his arm, she reached up with the other hand to hook around the back of his neck and draw him closer for a moment--considering he was nearly two full fulms taller than she was. She placed a playful peck at the corner of his lips and flashed a wink before releasing him and drawing away.
“Thank you again for being my guest. It was a rather enjoyable evening and I do hope we cross paths again soon. Perhaps I’ll have something else that’s to your liking next time.” Another smirk crawled across her lips before she offered him a polite bow. “Don’t be a stranger.”
And with that, the evening had drawn to a close, an Easter dinner well spent.
