Hero.
Is it a weird thing to say that i really like her design? ^^" Everything about it reads so special to me. I'm not sure if it's even true, but it really stands out from the other characters to me~

The Ember Knight shorts!
Nagyunn : There's saying that wonders come to those who lost...
*camera panned in to Hinsher, who somehow ended up in the Snow Desert after trying to find apprentices in the capital*
Nagyunn : But she sure is.
Hinsher vs Waron
I wonder if Waron plans on doing the same thing the Devil Knight did n make an example of herself and Zius? *spoilers ahead*
So we all know how the Devil Knight acted out precisely because he wanted a method for controlling the Knights to be implemented. The Devil Knight martyred himself in order to point out a flaw in how the Knights were being managed + to show how dangerous Knights like him and Hinsher could become if they were not kept in line
The system that was put in place thanks to him and Hinsher is essentially an honor system, however. Geas + Honor, to be more specific. If a Knight behaves dishonorably or breaks their Geas, it is equivalent to betraying the Emperor + the other Knights, and the other Knights are expected to deal with that Knight internally.
The way I understand it, their legal system is essentially making a promise and expecting both sides to keep it
Which isn't a very efficient system. Both Tink and Zius have pointed out that honor differs per the individual’s perception. Even if one Knight thinks another behaved dishonorably, another Knight could see nothing wrong with their actions, and this would just lead to infighting with no real resolution
Also, since the other Knights are expected to enforce this honor system, all someone has to do is-
A: not get caught behaving “dishonorably” by the other Knights
B: argue their case as being honorable if they are caught
So a Knight could literally get away with murdering someone innocent as long as they can persuade the other Knights around that their reasoning was just.
That’s why Waron going around baiting the other Knights into behaving dishonorably and then killing them feels like way more than just her trying to find an excuse to fight. Because by having them misbehave first, she can argue her case.
This points out a flaw in the system
Knights are considered so valuable they are only allowed to fight each other under two circumstances, one of which is during a war and the other is when another Knight behaves dishonorably. Killing Knights is heavily discouraged too
But Waron has been using the law to legally kill the other Knights. In the honor system's eyes, she’s not doing anything wrong. And on top of that, since she’s “done nothing wrong” trying to punish her for her actions would be considered dishonorable, and then Waron could legally kill that individual too. It goes full circle
Now with her and Zius, she’s gotten him to swear an oath to obey her. But what if she orders him to do something dishonorable? If he does it, he’s breaking the law, if he doesn’t do it, he’s breaking the law. Either way, Zius would be considered a traitor in the eyes of the law, and that’s another flaw in the system. The system doesn't take into account situations where there is no right answer. It also assumes that people will be honest just because they're Knights and not make up "good reasons" to justify their wrongdoings
I think our girl may be setting herself up to be a martyr so a better system will be put in place, and honestly, her pov isn't wrong though her way of solving matters is.
Quick drawings of Tek characters I don't have enough experience drawing + stylizing
I started with Luzian, god knows I need to draw her more. I captured her vibe after the second drawing, somehow.
I love Luzian, I think she's fun and well-written, honestly. This might be why I don't have many headcanons for her...
I talk and fan over Pymel too much but I only drew him once and that drawing SUCKED
It was. Suprisingly easy. His hair is really not that different from Nagyunn's or Wild Dog's it just has more lines. He is a creature, an entity, the eight wonder of the world /ref
I drew her like once and I was like "yep. that's her" ironically Yulnia is also a character I enjoy. I don't really think she's cute, I think she's funny. And her lore was suprisingly interesting?
Her purple eyes are simply mesmerising. Her and Nuljin are very cute tbh. Nuljin is the true goat
I've drawn Naryun like 5 times before but always digitally.
I looooove the giant hat, bro. He's the hatman of tek. I know this design element originates from korean culture, but I love it in a fantasy setting! If I had enough space I would've made it bigger
I generally like Naryun, even though I'm aware of his flaws and that he's generally a bad person. Maybe that's a redflag of mine...
I am obsessed with its death scene. I didn't really care for him before that. Him and Aucherguni are insanely diverse compared to the other designs. Btw Naryun is canonically reffered to with he/it which I respect
Tanshirin. I tried to make her look a lot like Tyr, like the author did. I love what they did
I love Tanshirin's personality, even though I don't know the details of her lore. Her design is also very appealing to me, she looks really cool imo
She looks done with life here, but it's just that she's serious
Nothing's wrong with Hansen's design, I think braids are generally unique in universe. My only problem is that he didn't get the bow like the other's did in his team. Literally why not? Let's not be sexist here, he still looks cool with it! The only two reason I can think of why not to give him, is that his ponytail doesn't show as much and that he's rabbit so his "ears" are supposed to be long but the designs didn't care about that before so why now?
Braid havers: Dokkaebi, younger Yulnia, Kandentia, Hansen ofc, the lime colored knight, and maybe Marsha at some point, I can't recall more atm
Hinsher.
I am saying this a lot, but I LOVE Hinsher's design. It represents a cliché hero but also draws far enough from it to be unique, at least in tek. I really enjoy the black eyes, too. It was a nice touch. She's beautiful but not overly feminine. She's perfect for the hero character. Amazing job forming her, I should REALLY read her lore, even though I'm familiar with the key points
The drawing is recognisable, but far from perfect, or even good. I need to work on that
One minute I held the key
Next, the walls
Would close on me...
And I discovered my castle stands...
Upon pillars of salt
And pillars of sand.
Hinsher: i will not stand for this!
Regia: there’s an empty chair right there.
