...who are you talking to?
Lauzun in mask.
If the trash pickup people stop doing their job for two weeks you'd be throwing a fucking tantrum. Same for the janitors who keep your office spaces and bathrooms clean. (And that's before the various illnesses start to spread all over your city from the build up of pathogens.)
The people responsible keeping our spaces clean (and thus, mostly disease-free) should both be paid more AND thanked more.
Garbage service is one of the ten deadliest jobs in the United States.
And police work isn't even on that list.
someone is putting up pictures of me around town and they all say I’m ‘wanted’. which is nice
“The LEGO Movie was my favorite movie of 2014, but it strikes me that the main character was male, because I feel like in our current culture, he HAD to be. The whole point of Emmett is that he’s the most boring average person in the world. It’s impossible to imagine a female character playing that role, because according to our pop culture, if she’s female she’s already SOMEthing, because she’s not male. The baseline is male. The average person is male. You can see this all over but it’s weirdly prevalent in children’s entertainment. Why are almost all of the muppets dudes, except for Miss Piggy, who’s a parody of femininity? Why do all of the Despicable Me minions, genderless blobs, have boy names? I love the story (which I read on Wikipedia) that when the director of The Brave Little Toaster cast a woman to play the toaster, one of the guys on the crew was so mad he stormed out of the room. Because he thought the toaster was a man. A TOASTER. The character is a toaster. I try to think about that when writing new characters— is there anything inherently gendered about what this character is doing? Or is it a toaster?”
— Bojack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg commenting on how weird gendered defaults in entertainment are, and why we should think twice about them. Excerpted from this longer original post. (via 360degreesasthecrowflies)

deltarune ch 5 trailer analysis
toby sprouting a yellow flower
we already know that ch 5 is going to be plant themed, this entire trailer solidifies that
very cool thorny flower themed enemy!
it seems to use a similar attack to the roaring knight with the thorns exploding outwards from one center point
the next fight looks like a castle town fight, fighting against trashy, little ball, and nubert
trashy's attack seems to be having you clean up trash, which probably gets him closer to being spared, and the little ball (which is now big) has an attack where it throws balls onto the battlefield (don't look closer at that sentence move on now)
nubert has super saiyan hair and doesnt seem to be attacking, also he looks nervously at the ralsei beam that is about to eviscerate him
scenes from earlier chapters
very cool cherry blossom knight (KNIGHT????) enemy with plant pot armor
the attack appears to be either trying to stop them from blooming or trying to get them to bloom by letting the green drops hit you, and when they bloom the battlefield turns into an image of a cherry blossom tree overlooking a river
the fun gang walking up to a shrine with a quill in it
kris fighting nobody??? with one of the flowey attacks in the field??? what??? thats from omega flowey????? huh??????
kris and susie sliding down a huge vine with what looks like maybe bells and small bags on the leaves?
fun gang running in shallow water, very cool effect!
final shot is of the fun gang standing on what appears to be some sort of shrine or house surrounded by others, staring at the sun, with big pillar shaped mountains
the houses/shrines around the one theyre standing on have blue rooves, while the one theyre on has a gold roof and small horn shaped protrusions on the corners. theres also a flower decoration on the corner we see
the sun combined with the colors kind of looks like flowey, or at least a gold flower
deltarune ch 5 releases june 24th, my birthday! yay!!!!!!!!

alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined

Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

one time a guy i know whose girlfriend was heavily pregnant didn’t tweet anything for a whole day so i texted him ‘congrats on your baby’ and made him think i had some kind of baby precognition
like six months after that just after halloween i asked to see his son dressed as a ‘fat baby pumpkin’ and he was like ‘who told you’ and i said ‘no one. it’s halloween. you have a fat baby. he’s going to be a pumpkin’
