i do think that if youre super pessimistic about video games youre wrong & you should probably stop looking towards aaa to get your fix of good games. there is a ton of slop right now from that space but generally speaking you dont need to touch aaa to get the best of most kinds of experiences you can have. and, if you want those kind of prestigey video games to play theres a backlog of decades now that you can much more easily know what is and isnt good. if you want an open world action-y game that is rewarding and does something actually interesting with the medium go play dying light 1 or metal gear solid v etc. both of those games fucking rule.
