referring to your post about the cast thing yadda yadda, what happened this time?
So at Nerd HQ with the Supernatural cast there was a question about female characters on the show, and someone (I’m not sure who) made a joke about how they already had Misha as a female character. A lot of people took this as transphobic, which I can see how it would be hurtful but I honestly believe that wasn’t the intent. And then Jared was saying how he was glad the show was male-orientated because it wasn’t a show about romance; that it was about the brothers. People are calling it misogyny for assuming women would only be on the show to act as romantic interests, and homophobia because it’s implying that romance can only happen between a man and a woman on TV.
A lot of people have different opinions, mine is that while a lot of these comments were not politically correct, I think it got blown way out of proportion. Oh and then Aisha Taylor, who was at the panel with the boys, made this facebook post responding to the hate and criticism.
I’m really trying not to get involved in the drama and I understand how a lot of people would get upset over this and they are completely entitled to, but I don’t see how sending angry posts/tweets to the cast and Aisha is going to help.
