POKEMON TEAM

Matty had always been drawn to ghost-type Pokémon, and it started with his partner, Gengar (then a Gastly). One day as a child, Matty had wandered off and gotten lost, somehow ending up in a cemetery. He was scared and hid from nearby Pokémon, remembering his brother's warnings about wild Pokémon. As luck would have it, the Gastly he came across was friendly and led him out of the cemetery. From then on, they were inseparable, and Matty realized he wanted to learn all he could about these misunderstood Pokémon.

GENGAR, the Shadow Pokémon (partner)

Ghost / Poison: It apparently wishes for a traveling companion. Since it was once human itself, it tries to create one by taking the lives of other humans.

CURSOLA, the Coral Pokémon

Ghost: Its shell is overflowing with its heightened otherworldly energy. The ectoplasm serves as protection for this Pokémon's core spirit.

MIMIKYU, the Disguise Pokémon

Ghost / Fairy: A lonely Pokémon, it conceals its terrifying appearance beneath an old rag so it can get closer to people and other Pokémon.

GREAVARD, the Ghost Dog Pokémon

Ghost: This friendly Pokémon doesn't like being alone. Pay it even the slightest bit of attention, and it will follow you forever.

GOLURK, the Automaton Pokémon

Ground / Ghost: Golurk were created by ancient people to protect both people and Pokémon. They run on a mysterious energy.

SABLEYE, the Darkness Pokémon

Dark / Ghost: It dwells in the darkness of caves. It uses its sharp claws to dig up gems to nourish itself.

Pokédex entry: This Oricorio has sipped pink nectar. It gets so caught up in its dancing that it sometimes doesn't hear its Trainer's orders.

Weavile (Dark/Ice) → Sharp, fast, and cunning—Weavile is all precision and ruthlessness. It thrives in the cold, like Vivian, and doesn’t fight fair—it hunts.

Seviper (Poison) → Sleek, dangerous, and venomous. Seviper represents Vivian’s ability to manipulate and paralyze her enemies with just a few words.

Tsareena (Grass) → Tsareena is a dominator—regal, ruthless, and commanding.

Hatterene (Psychic/Fairy) → Hatterene despises loud, chaotic energy—she attacks anyone who disrupts her peace.

Inteleon (Water) → Inteleon is all about calculated strikes—a spy, a sniper, always composed. It represents Vivian’s intellect, control, and her love for staying ten steps ahead.

Mandibuzz (Dark/Flying) →Mandibuzz doesn’t just survive—she thrives off the downfall of others. She waits for weakness, circles it, and claims dominance over whatever’s left.

Absol (Dark) → Absol is misunderstood—it appears before disasters not to cause them, but to warn others. Just like Henry, who carries the burden of foresight, consequence, and silent protection.

Gallade (Psychic/Fighting) → Gallade represents Henry’s refined demeanor and his protective instincts—calm, noble, and graceful, but capable of fighting fiercely for what (or who) he cares about.

Luxray (Electric) → Luxray has a strong sense of vision and truth—it sees through lies and darkness. Like Henry, it’s intense, noble, and silently powerful. He may seem distant, but he sees everything.

Umbreon (Dark) → A calm, loyal Pokémon that evolves through friendship at night—when things are darkest.

Corviknight (Flying/Steel) → Corviknight is composed and armored—literally and emotionally.

Metagross (Steel/Psychic) →Metagross has the calculating mind of someone raised in high society with expectations, but beneath its cold design is intense loyalty to those it chooses.

Chandelure (Ghost/Fire) → Hauntingly beautiful, it symbolizes the fire that took everything from him.

Decidueye (Grass/Ghost) → Mysterious, observant, and nature-bound, Decidueye fits Luca’s quiet, watchful presence.

Sawbucks (Autumn Form) (Normal/Grass) → The Autumn Form in particular reflects change, nostalgia, and a quiet mourning—mirroring Luca’s inability to move on from loss but still finding grace in the present.

Mudsdale (Ground) → Mudsdale is unshakable and loyal, just like Luca—still holding doors open, still believing in decency, even when the world doesn’t.

Umbreon (Dark) → Umbreon is quiet, loyal, and deeply emotional beneath its calm exterior. It’s the kind of Pokémon that watches the world from the shadows—protective, resilient, and patient.

Lycanroc (Midday Form) (rock) →Midday Lycanroc is steadfast, grounded, and shaped by its environment. It embodies the quiet strength of someone raised by the land.

Gardevoir (Psychic/Fairy) → Gardevoir represents loyalty and protection. It’s known to risk its life for those it cares about—just like Rayne would for her sisters.

Blissey (Normal) → The ultimate healer. Blissey senses pain and illness from afar and is deeply nurturing—just like Rayne as a surgeon. Despite her seriousness, Rayne has a soft heart for those who suffer, and Blissey represents her role in bringing comfort and life-saving care.

Alakazam (Psychic) → Known for its extraordinary intellect and memory, Alakazam embodies Rayne’s brilliant mind and her obsession with research and innovation.

Roserade (Grass/Poison) →Elegant, precise, and dangerous when needed. Roserade is a nod to Rayne’s duality—graceful and composed in public, but with a sharp edge beneath.

Glaceon (Ice) → Rayne can come off emotionally cool or distant, especially to those who don’t know her well. Glaceon represents her calm, calculating exterior—beautiful, intelligent, but hard to approach unless she lets you in.

Chansey (Normal) → A Pokémon that’s deeply tied to hospitals and caretaking. Often found alongside Nurse Joy, Chansey reflects Rayne’s day-to-day work at Mercy Hospital, her nurturing spirit, and her love for her found family
