2026 starts with a BANG

We know how happy Eddie looks when he arrives to meet Chrissy (and him being “really revved up” in the cafeteria/taunting Jason cause he already knew he was meeting her later. I mentioned this here), BUT he’s not only happy, he arrives IN FLIRTY MODE. Why do I say that? Let’s see...

When Eddie arrives it seems to me obvious that he bumps into her on purpose. Then he says “Sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you" and laughs as if the situation was funny. His demeanor only changes when he sees she's really scared (“You okay?”), but...

Why does he (happily) bump into someone he isn't close with and that's just a customer and the queen of high school/a cheerleader? (Ok, we know now that he has a crush on her, but here we didn't know yet!) So, WHY?

I think it's cause he probably thinks that acting like a clown by bumping into her is FUNNY. Because... that's his way of flirting with her. Seeing him doing that doesn’t remind you of when he acted like he had been shot in the chest cause she didn’t remember him?

I thought that was the “official moment" he started flirting with her (aw the music) but now I think he was only reactivating his flirty mode from before. He came to meet his crush, Chrissy Cunningham, with the intention of being flirty from the beginning.

Only after he sees Chrissy’s expression he looks worried and asks if she’s okay. After that, when she's still scared he changes his attitude 💔 (can’t barely look at her and keeps wanting to go) cause he thinks she’s scared of him/dislikes him.

So yeah, I think we can conclude that Eddie went to that “drug deal” with the intention of flirting with his crush from the very first minute. I salute you, Eddie Munson. You are truly a hero.

And that’s it. Just the facts! Or maybe just my thoughts 😂

Snow began to dustthe ground, but he had no jacket.

He had made a placefor himself, a little hovel of sorts. A shelter in the slums ofTokyo, where he had a ratty blanket someone had thrown away and abare pillow. This is what his home was now.

But the cold didn'thurt as much as something else did, and that was the time of theyear. Late January. Chinese New Year.

It was the twelfthyear of the cycle, and the twelfth year of his life. It was going tobe The Dragon again, and he would have had a great celebration withhis family in China. If they had still been alive.  

Here, there were nofireworks. No celebrations that were of note. Not in these slums atleast.

So he just pulledhimself into his barely-a-shelter, and pulled the blanket over hisface. The snow, blown slightly by the wind, landed on top of hisblanket and stole away every bit of warmth it could have brought him.

His face was warm atleast – warm with the burning of his tears.
