MAURICIO POCHETTINO has fought off an approach from Marseilles for Tottenham transfer guru Steve Hitchen.

In 1697, Hitchin, Herfordshire was recorded as having the most severe hailstorm in British history with hailstones over 4" in diameter reported. In other notable Hitch weather news- the Church of St Mary (known as St. Andrew's then) was partially destroyed in "The Great Wind", a storm recorded in 1115. The same site was struck by lightning in 1292. In 1298, the center of the church collapsed due to an earthquake.
