Got early access to Hitman Sniper: The Shadows! Gave it a whirl and it has potential, it's just very buggy right now. It was nice to have Diana carry out the tutorial (and Jane voices the intro video) but I wish there was more of her. Plus, the game doesn't quite feel like Hitman without 47 (and they don't really explain why he's gone).

have you seen the e3 trailer for the mobile hitman sniper game? it's not canon, is it? diana mentions "47's disappearance" and that's scary why is he leaving his wifeee

Yes, I've seen it! Tbh I probably won't play it as it's just a mobile sniper game, and Hitman: Sniper was good enough for that :D

I don't know if it's canon but I would assume so, it seems to me that it's set within the timeline of H3. 47 had disappeared from the ICA by then and was acting rogue. That, I assume, was his "disappearance", or perhaps it's referencing after the ICA failed to kill him in Berlin and he disappeared again.

At least, that's what I'm assuming. It can't be after Chongqing because the ICA is no more, and Stone, for example, has gone freelance. Of course, part of Initiative 426 could be an ICA failsafe, which is also possible. A company like that will take steps to protect themselves, and having shadow cells makes sense.

Gotta say though, I am surprised by the backlash. I assumed people would either be into it or indifferent, but people are like, actively annoyed.
