@hitxuzen​ : Here comes keith. Walking cockily into his dear /fiance's/ ( he'll never stop being swooned over this fact ) office, closing the door behind him so they can have their privacy. And oh, heres a stack of papers he's shoving in front of him, that cocky smile still on his face like hes so proud of what's he's done. These papers stating that from February 19, to march 8, the two of them are on vacation leave.

❝ Keith. ❞ Shiro greeted with a simple nod and a smile, barely looking away from his work. Being a captain, as it turns out, isn’t very fun. It was less about piloting and exploring and WAY TOO MUCH MORE about paperwork and meetings and making sure all of his subordinates were doing their jobs.

❝ What’s gotten into you today? You better not have been goading Griffin into anything again, I think that one’s suffered MORE THAN ENOUGH at your hands over the years. ❞ He did note Keith’s satisfied grin as papers were suddenly shoved into his face, gray eyes flitting from the papers to Keith and back again but nothing quite CLICKED just yet, Shiro instead taking the papers in hand to add them to a pile he’d been looking through just now of all the requests people wanted  his approval for.

❝ And just because you’re my fiancé- ❞ He did love thinking about and saying that too. KEITH WAS HIS FIANCÉ. Keith Kogane was going to marry him. They were going to be together forever, bound by matrimony on top of all the promises they’d whispered to each other in the intimate quiet of nights they spent together that NOT A SINGLE THING was ever going to get in their way again. ❝ -doesn’t mean you always get immediate priority over any paperwork submissions. Let me finish this one first at least. ❞

Part of Shiro almost felt bad doing this, knowing Keith wouldn’t expect such a betrayal from him, but with the bit of snow he’d scooped up into his hand off the low wall they’d passed he just couldn’t help himself. Keith’s attention was facing forward, he hadn’t seen the little maneuver and it opened up opportunities- ones that Shiro absolutely COULD NOT AND WOULD NOT let slip away.

Around the Garrison or the other paladins he was often seen as A VOICE OF REASON or THE MATURE ONE but... around Keith it’s always been a different story which is why with a smile he’d leaned in to give Keith a distracting kiss on the cheek as his other hand dropped snow right down Keith’s shirt from the back.
