Caleb opens the door to his apartment, grinning when he finds his date on the other side, looking absolutely stunning. His face can’t help but break out into a grin, his cheeks warming at the realization that yes, the Amobi Igbokwe wants to go on a date with him. “Amo,” he says in a soft voice, his face still sporting a goofy grin. “Hi. You look amazing.” Caleb takes his time to stare and take in the other man, because he’s on a date on Amo, so he can. He hasn’t been on a one in a while, though, so he settles for the safest icebreaker. “How, uh... how are you?”

“hey,” she whispered ever so quietly as she carefully cradled the sleeping boy in her arms, picture book in her hand. “would you mind?” she asked, gesturing to leo with a soft smile, hoping that eugene would get the hint. “poor baby is so exhausted. he was running all over the soccer field today.”

          “so,” audrey says as she sets her tray down on the table. “i know halloween is over, but i feel like one day isn’t enough to celebrate it, and i also don’t think i spent all of october properly getting into the spooky mood, so what do you guys think of a horror movie binge watch at my place later tonight?”

          danny excitedly leads the group to a back classroom that he was cleaning out for extra cash. “ you’ll never believe what i found, ” he says, grinning like a damn idiot. it’s not everyday someone discovers an unpopular game, not to mention a console he’s never heard of in his life. “ i was gonna try it out myself, but i figured it might be more fun with you guys. ” once they’re all in the room, he pulls out the tv that already has the game connected. “ look, look, ” he turns on the television and then the console, revealing the jumanji logo on the screen. “ wicked, right? ”

          lauren cocks her head at danny’s amazing discovery, which is really just an outdated tv that’s probably overdue for a replacement. “ yeah, it’s.... great? ” seriously, what is he so excited about? once he turns on the game, her interest piques, but only slightly. lauren loves games, but mostly the more childish ones such as mario kart or legend of zelda. she’s never been very good at them. “ oh. a game? ” she glances in the others’ direction, hoping for one of them to add something so she’s not the only one attempting to humor danny. “ so, is that all? ”

    “i can’t believe i inadvertently dabbled in porn before i lost my virginity, but it’s been a strange year all around.” kaleia passed around, her hands squeezing her cheeks together in distress. this wasn’t the first weird thing to happen to her. being in college was weird.

        “that’s ridiculous,” she shook her head and scoffed after to emphasize her point. “i’m not going to hack anyone’s phone for your petty revenge plans. -- besides, it’s not that easy anyway,” the femme crossed her arms. she’d helped a lot of people with shady things like this, if they just paid her enough, but she wasn’t going to do it for her friends - it just felt strange. she tried to keep her clients far away from her personal life - she didn’t even want to be acquainted with someone who wanted her help getting into someone’s personal devices - unless it was for a good cause. “it’s highly illegal,” the brunette added, though you could see it on her features that it wasn’t the reason she was saying no. there was a lot of illegal stuff she’d done, that her family had done, even if vanessa had tried her best to stay on the right track. “you were joking, right?”

she hadn’t even know when the conversation turned from bad to worse, but there they were. it was easy to get lost in the petty arguments, the back and forth, but he managed to take it too far this time. axel could feel how easily the tears pooled, blinking back a few times as she tried to step back away from him. “look, forget it.” her voice stayed low as she shoved her hands into her pockets. “sometimes i don’t fucking understand you. i mean, do you forget sometimes that it’s nice to not be treated like -- i don’t know -- just not like this?”

       nothing was going the way he  WANTED  it to  ;  the male’s reputation going downward in the media for the  f o u r t h  time this week,  not to mention there were people  CONSTANTLY  following him around taking pictures of him  &  sending them to wherever they want.  though he didn’t even care about that at the moment,  all that was on his mind was what he let slip out of his fingers.  he poured more of the alcohol in his cup,  looking down at it before taking another drink.  he wasn’t intoxicated but he was  GETTING  there,  not wanting to think about his heart hurting but more on how much alcohol he could consume.  he looked up from the cup  &  out the window for a second,  before looking back at his cup.  but wait  ---  was that  ??  he looks one more time  &  his thoughts were right,  the familiar wedding dress he saw just few hours before on the body of the most perfect girl.  though now stained with tears.  he furrowed his eyebrows  &  quickly got up,  walking out the door  &  to where she stood.   “  nova  --  what  --  what are you doing here  ??  “
