This one took a bit of time but i decided that i wanted to do a colleague non the less! Hope you're not annoyed by those:3
Daughter of Aristaeus x Son of Hera
Another excellent work! I can see you're getting better and better, particularly choosing images that work together and the colour values all work in unison.
Hello! If you ever will have time and will it would be very fun and interesting to read your thoughts on Legacy of Athena son of Hermes! ( Joke about Odysseus here it would sute very well but i don't have ideas:( )
Thanks you!
A/n: I was just going to say this feels like a different version of Odysseus, isn't it? With that, I'm going run with it. Son of Hermes will be referred to with He/Him and with masculine concepts. Will also be referred at times with L!Athena, S!Hermes to reduce word count and repetition.
Hope you enjoy this, even a little bit and thanks for dropping by!
This is pretty much another Odysseus and there will be no shortage of comments and comparison that he's like, if not, Odysseus, himself. Is it his wit? his intellect? his pension into getting into trouble, whether he's at fault or not?
Or is it because he's literally a legacy of Athena, who was basically Odysseus' patron god for the entirety of the Odyssey and the fact he is also a Son of Hermes, which Odysseus was a legacy of Hermes himself (with his great-grandfather being a son of Hermes).
This sort of birth feels very much like the Fates would do, reintroducing the past into the present because I can totally the L!Athena, S!Hermes being not only a legacy of Athena, but also Odysseus himself.
This pretty much if EPIC!Athena had the PJO! Athena concept of giving birth to a demigod by literally being a mind baby; where literally Athena gives birth to a demigod that was also Odysseus. Hence the legacy of Athena.
And before someone comments "But Scribes, you just said Odysseus is also a legacy of Hermes from his great-grandfather's side! That makes being a Son of Hermes weird wouldn't it?" and while I do understand where you're coming from, we don't know how many bloodlines later it take to be no longer to be considered a legacy anymore, so we're just being free with that.
Besides, Hermes being attracted to a legacy of Athena isn't too farfetched, not to mention there are…certain gods that have re-introduced themselves in their own family trees within 3- 5 generations max.
Regardless if he's a descendant of Odysseus or not, it still doesn't change that he is pretty much seen as Odysseus himself. It doesn't help as legacy of Athena, the family probably has intentional or unintentionally told the stories of Odysseus, and more so because of course his family would remember the fact Odysseus was a legacy of Hermes and was favored by Athena, their ancestor was favorable to him, so yeah the S!Hermes would be very aware of the Odyssey and Odysseus.
If we really want to layer the irony, we could even say the L!Athena S!Hermes could've been named as Odysseus. Shortened name would probably Ozzy or Oddie, like how Percy's actual name is Perseus. Certainly doesn't help being born as a Son of Hermes either.
There was probably a time someone tried to call him "Zeus-y" to be funny but that was immediately shot down because well-
The L!Athena S!Hermes is obviously going to be very smart and witty but if you have experienced meeting someone or know the trope that being so smart, they somehow get themselves into some much trouble despite of it all?
Yeah that's him. I'd imagine he would be smart, academically and practicality, but man, somehow he gets himself into trouble that makes you question it. Not in a bad way but like for a guy who does 4D chess, he forgot he needed to make the first right move before anything.
Or that could just be the ADHD thing.
The S!Hermes would be pretty well spoken or communicates very well. This is because first and foremost, Hermes is the god of messengers, diplomacy, language and writing, and being a traveling god.
So as a S!Hermes, he has a silver tongue and also a well-versed tongue. Paired with being a L!Athena, he probably either was exposed to or is interested in many forms of literature and practice good counsel.
It wouldn't be farfetched to assume the S!Hermes would also know or pick up another language or two, aside from English, Ancient and Modern Greek, Latin; since English regardless if that is his first language or not, would come easily since the gods are in America and English is the most common language to learn; Ancient and Modern Greek because he's a Greek demigod and they're all hardwired for it; Latin because many academic texts are also written in Latin or use Latin terminology.
He's probably most likely the guy who gives random or sort of relevant Fun Facts or Trivia knowledge. But the problem is the Hermes part of himself cannot stop stretching the truth that makes in unbelievable or sometimes throws in information that are actually fibs.
He'll definitely have dexterous fingers that lend itself to crafts of all sorts of manners, truly jack of all trades of crafting skills with a few specialties, but also having sticky fingers that cannot stop touching or fiddling with things. Definitely has took apart stuff to only alter it, and learned how to lock pick- regardless if he has the power or not to unlock stuff like Luke did.

Remember that moment in your Selene hcs about the song?
I've been thinking about Moonlight guide us from Hades two or Nod-Krai from genshin ( tho this one is on Latin so it would better sute for Luna ig)
Both are absolutely bangers that fit for different scenerios.
The "Moonlight guide us" definitely fits more with the vibe of priests and followers singing this as a prayer to the moon, in this case, Selene like one would do in a temple.
The Nod-Krai however is such a banger (with much thanks to Aurora) that fits the vibe of well, exactly the moon goddess and her people's history, so I can see how Selene being much how Columbia is with her entire story and everything, and the child of Selene being in the place Lauma.
※Disclaimer: I'm just a casual fan of genshin impact and have friends who are way more into it and play the game. I just watch the cutscenes and gameplay every so often
