Uuuugggghhh I dont feel good, I took my best friend to a fancy cocktail lounge for her birthday and I only had like, 2 drinks but they were STRONG and I rarely every drink so I’m such a lightweight and now I’m very tipsy.

But my friend is sober and driving us home so no worries lovelies! Drink and drive responsibly😀

Anyways now I’m thinking about the Lu boys drinking and how Wars is kind of head cannoned to have a drinking problem and I think I would not like to drink with him because he’s probably a heavy drinker and it would make me worry, but at the same time it would be fun🙂‍↕️

I think I have issues with my mind's perceived impermanence of friendship

I don't get FOMO per se, as I can understand the "it'll be there when you come back", but I also live in fear that it won't be, that something will go wrong, someone won't return, I'll realize years into it that someone has never taken me into consideration properly, or has been mean the whole time, or something suddenly Happens and it all comes crashing down because someone I love says something so against what I believe that my thoughts around them instantly alter, or they change for the sake of popularity, or they change because they surround themselves with shitty people and willingly gain a shit attitude

All that to say I love you guys and I'm sorry if I seem clingy at times, it's because I want to get all the good moments in that I can because I get unreasonably paranoid about the future 👍

Thinking of this passage from episode 197 with regards to Simon Fairchild:

Jo n would lose much of himself, the parts of him that are The Eye. But he would survive. And perhaps more importantly, he would remain who he believes himself to be.

I think it's interesting Simon Fairchild not only remained in the original world but also remained pretty much intact (until he wasn't lol). As old as he was, you'd think he'd be completely sustained by the Vast and fully reliant on it to live.

It really showed how strong perception was to outcome when it came to the Entities. I think Simon perceived himself so much as himself and as free from it all as one could be that when the time came, his ability to divorce his definition of himself from being reliant on the Vast was very easy and very simple. Simon was himself through and through the whole time, the charming parts and the extremely sadistic parts. He thought of himself and his choices as fully part of his human personality and therefor fully retained his humanity after the Fears left.

He was human because he thought of himself as such.

Now what does that mean for Jon and how much he thought of himself as monstrous and part of the Eye I wonder... And I truly don't believe Anabelle really knew what she was talking about, especially given that not only Jon vanished but Martin as well. The perception of reliance is what apparently makes the difference, not actual reliance itself
