thinking  about  how  EASILY  the  kid  could  turn  to  the  dark  side .  the  way  he  choked  cara  when  he  thought  she  was  hurting  din ,  the  way  he  was  throwing  those  stormtroopers  around .  it  makes  me  wonder  if  it  could  become  a  plot  point  later ,  maybe  din  is  able  to  pull  him  back  to  the  light  like  luke  did  for  vader ?

my fem john watson is very insistent about being called john and only john. her closetedness and denial isn’t driven by feeling trapped in heteronormativity exactly. i think for her it’s more like. a fear of fully knowing herself and fully engaging with others as her real self. a fear of finding out her true self is like. unlovable. less about wanting to be thought normal and more about holding out a false self or diminished self because she doesn’t believe she’s resilient enough to face the rejection attached to being out. 

like john disowned her parents, ostensibly because they were hostile to her sister when her sister came out. but this way, she doesn’t have to wonder what would happen between herself and her parents if she accepted that she’s a lesbian and lived a queer life openly.
