now don't get me wrong, canada still has yet to give its women's team their proper laurels but watching the way the us women's team is degraded by their male counterparts when they perform as well or even better than them boils my blood. they have every right to be angry and indignant but you know they won't be, you know they'll handle it with professionalism and "grace" that once again, their male counterparts aren't expected to uphold to the same level. even in hockey, nobody likes an angry woman. but guys, we should all be angry. our girls - and i say that of all women in hockey, not just my own national team - deserve so, SO much better than the shit they have to put up with just to be taken "seriously."

once the pwhl is done expanding for a while the next thing on their docket should be team mascots. i want every team to have a fugly mascot costume. theyre so fun the pwhl needs them. i already know the goldeneyes would have a wonderful fugly duck of a mascot. its too easy for us cuz we’re the only animal team rn. i wanna see what monstrosities everyone else could come up with
