*taps microphone* investing in and showing up for women's pro sports is a real and tangible way to fight the cultural increase in loud, violent misogyny in the world. it is not, nor should it be, the only act of resistance you partake in but it is a powerful and meaningful one in which there is real joy.
politicians are soooo serious about "protecting women's sports" (heavy quotations there, they're not protecting shit with these garbage peices of legislation) but what about funding women's sports? what about equal scholarship opportunities for women's sports? what about broadcasting women's sports? what about treating women's sports like an actual, thriving movement and not a scapegoat to demonize trans people? can they name 10 of the female athletes they're so certain that they're protecting? quick, jd vance, who won the last women's world cup? who was the team usa women's hockey mvp in milan? what american woman scored the game winning point and secured the usa its first rugby medal in 100 years in paris? do you know? do women's sports really matter to you, or just the idea of keeping trans people out it?
oh wife line, my beloved
MISSING THEM BAD TODAY
the highest paid member of any hockey team should always be the backup goalie. heart of every team
people starting to ask about the pwhl schedule, have u met the pwhl? we're getting that schedule a good 1 week before the season starts if we're lucky
when will my wife (the pwhl) return to me........
this is like 50% of tumblr’s user base summarized
Adding "you would be friends with Hitler if he liked vocaloid" to that same list as "y'all would fuck a fence if it was white"
women’s sports will never be treated fully on their own terms if every achievement is immediately translated into a men’s sports comparison.
i promise it's actually possible to compliment a female athlete without immediately comparing her to a man.
in 2026 we're putting a stop to the idea that strength is a "manly" quality. women are strong and fast and determined and they are women. women of all races and sizes excel in sports. their excellence is not manly. their strength is not manly. their success is not manly. "manly" is not a compliment to be bestowed on women who succeed. they are women AND they are strong.
everytime we need to break a women’s sports attendance record, the city of montreal cracks her knuckles and says may I introduce you to my huge child, centre bell?
being a sports fan will have you saying shit like 'oh boy i hope my favorite millionaire's business negotiations go well today!'
