I am so upset because Snape is wearing just underwear under his robes, and the Quidditch Cup people don't know what trousers are, but Harry and Ron just take off their jackets and pull on their robes on the train, and Draco docks points from Ron for having his shirt untucked, and Draco takes off his robe in plain view at Madam Malkin's and walks off, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it 😭😭😭 (I should like it because it gives us liberty to imagine whatever we want)

Hogwarts Uniform Headcanons: Pre-War vs Post-War

I'm using my two HP ocs and only the Slytherin colours to portray the difference of the uniforms between two eras.

Uniform explanations below the cut!

Pre and during Wizarding War II

For the era before the end of the of second Wizarding War (1998 and before), I decided to use more book accurate robes than ones used in the movies to make it feel more authentic. Yeah, I love the uniforms from the movies, but those uniforms are used in modern British schools.

It feels more appropriate that that the students are donning something more old fashioned and plain. The robes are unisex with the only differences being house colours. Outer robes are for colder weather and can be taken off. The sleeves of the inner robes are also less flimsy and loose so that students can freely do messier classes, such as potions and herbology.

The scarves stay and will forever remain as my favourite addition to the HP movie uniforms.

Post-Wizarding War II

A new era calls for new changes, starting with the uniforms. The uniforms are beginning to resemble the movie uniforms but still retains the vintage aesthetic. I looked up several references of uniforms from the early 20th century.

Outer robes—I took some inspiration from the apprentice witch robes from Witch Hat Atelier because I absolutely love those robes! It has hanging sleeves, but forearms are free of flimsy sleeves

Regular uniform skirt/pants—Skirts are longer than portrayed in the movies. They can go from just below the knees to the ankles.

Dress shirt sleeves can be longer or shorter. There is also the option of wearing a cardigan, sweater/jumpers, sweaters vests, over the shirts; however, I forgot to draw those.

There's not much difference with the trousers, all I can say is that Minako rarely wears pants. It's always skirts and shorts for her (with thick fleece tights if the weather is cold). She might have worn them once, but then she traded them for a skirt an hour later.

Gymslip/pinafore—What Minako usually wears for phys. ed, like flying class or the duelling club. Gymslips were introduced as female athletic wear for mobility.

I accidentally drew Minako's gymslip a bit too long when it was only supposed to be knee length, but she's already so short let's just say that she didn't have the time to trim it yet.

Some students prefer the regular pants uniform or the knee length shorts for phys ed. at Hogwarts

quick sketches of some HP characters the way I pictured them at age 11 before seeing the movies. The gang stays pretty much the same, but somehow McGonagall was an edwardian governess in pencil skirts and voldy was very cobra-like because that's how I interpreted "snake face" voldemort.

I don't really like the Hogwarts uniforms much. All robes, seriously? Where's the character? If I got to choose the uniforms, there would be elegant and sleek button-ups, vests, ties, slacks, and cloaks all coloured in the theme of a person's Hogwarts house. Like damn... That would be great. ❤️ 😍 💘

Though Tom Marvolo Riddle would look infinitely hotter in those clothes and Harry would probably have defected to his side in second year, so... Maybe not...

Tom Riddle in my version of the Hogwarts uniform is my kink. But we'll keep that under the rug, yeah?

The Best Hogwarts Trio Ever !!! So it’s basicaly me and two of my friend in our Hogwarts house’s oufit . I’m on the rigth and Yes i’m a Hufflepuff (or somewere between huffle and sylt) there’s @gordham in the center in his Ravenclaw’s uniform and @cortostar on the left Hufflepuff buddies yaay I finely take the time to finish it ...even if now we’re more than 3 perhaps if i have faith i’ll do a second serie of the 3 other friend of our group. OMG LOOK AT THAT...It’s A BACKGROUND !!! QUICK TROW A POKEBALL !!

1069. Hogwarts uniforms have magical properties- when the first year students buy them, they are plain, with only the school crest but after they are sorted, the tie, robes and jumper magically change to their new house colors.
