two of my favorite robert frost poems for two of my favorite hogwarts houses. i dont know about you guys, but these two stanzas of robert frost hold so much motivation and inspiration, especially for a student who has so much more good and bad to experience. high-res versions of these are in the link to the google drive!

|11.30.17| December 2017! November was…rough to put it lightly. I don’t think I’ve had any free time in a month. But let’s pray for a fresh start this month! 🙏❄️
the holidays have arrived, which means we are given loads of time off from academia!! however as much as i’d like to spend the next 5 weeks watching netflix, taking naps & spending all day in my pyjamas its important not to let your textbooks gather dust and to remember to be productive. here’s some how-to tips to stay productive over the holidays!!
1. be aware of your time, do you have 6 weeks? 2 weeks? a month? and how much of this time is dedicated to the holidays (whether it be family time, holiday abroad time or time set out for religious reasons) if you know how much time you have free you’ll be more efficient when using it
2. establish what you need to do and what you want to do. these two things are different. what you need to do are usually things given to you by your school/college/university that have due dates or are required, examples are assignments, research papers, essays and required readings. things you want to do are maybe not necessary but things you want to get done, like extra reading, past papers, extra-credit or anything else you want to do to get ahead (post on getting ahead coming soon)
3. make a study plan. this seems pretty obvious but it is super useful once you’ve established your needs & wants. (post on study plans coming next week). essentially: prioritise & spread your tasks over the time you have
4. dedicate certain time slots to studying. take a professional approach & treat it like a job. these hours are 100% study time to make sure you actually get what you want done (and get it done before the night before)
5. incorporate your studies with the holidays. go present shopping & take a study break in a cafe, put up decorations & listen to a podcast/lecture/audiobook, snuggle in to eat snacks & watch a documentary etc etc, not all of your study time has to be chained to a desk antisocially.
6. do a little every day. or every week day or every other day. just make a plan at the beginning of your time off & stick to it!!
hope this was helpful, send me an ask if u want to discuss or if this was useful
