I'm already a day late because timezones but here we go

1. introduce yourself! what are you studying and why?

Hey everyone I'm lex! I'm doing an English literature honours course because I have always been interested in reading, researching and learning about different cultures.

2. what are your goals for this month? what do you hope to achieve academically and personally?

I have my internal exams, better known as mid-terms, this month so a lot of studying and revisions. I have papers and essays to write, flashcards to make. Lots to do this month academically. Personally I don't have any new goals except the usual - exercise everyday, research weekly, write weekly, dance weekly. I'm going to steer clear of competitions this month, still going to continue with club activities.

I'm always around if you want advise, a study buddy or just want to rant

I spent exactly one week doing nothing. And by nothing I mean nothing for university.

A week ago I rushed to my university to grab some books for the holidays (a great collection of books for my presentation, books about art history and books I want to read to chat with my lecturer about ) and ever since I‘ve been just sleeping and eating and I spent so much time watching movies - around 4 a day! Which is quite a lot - especially if you should be studying instead.

But enough is enough and I have to go back to a fixed routine ( right now I tend to fall asleep at around 5am and I wake up past 1pm ) and I have to start studying again! University starts on the 7th and my to-do list is endless!

I recently started reading newspapers every morning and I absolutely fell in love with this ritual. Sadly they are too expensive for me. I‘m still enjoying it as long as I can though - I’m just saying 2 weeks for free baby! And students just love free stuff!

This wednesday marks a special day because I will be presenting my first presentation ever since I started studying art history. I am pretty nervous tbh but I am also excited! I‘m probably better prepared than most of my classmates but I‘m not a good presenter. I get way too nervous everytime I have to speak in front of class. But wish me good luck!

My first semester of Art History:

Falling in love with Art History all over again, a lot of studying and many many notes ( just look at them!)

Yes my hand hurt a lot because I was writing so much. And yes I was constantly tired. But god yes it was all worth it and it was definitely a success- I completed the semester with 1.0 aka A+ !!

I‘m already looking forward to my next semester! Sadly I don’t have my favourite lecturer this year ( I completely fell in love with him over the first semester. His passion was just contagious) but I have some new professors and I’m so excited to meet them! Wish me good luck!
