Some times as Dory says - you just keep swimming - or in our case - keep smiling - grandad billy is ill in hospital - he’s not coming home for Christmas Day 😔 and then a drunk driver smashes up the back of Darren’s car - while he has Mia and Aiden in the car. And then the utter tosser runs off ... ( he was followed and caught - he went to the shops to buy more beer.!!) his car is a mess - darren driving the Sherman tank of cars a Volvo - but the bumper is scrap and the brakes sound grinding. They were all checked over by the ambulance service - 2 lovely ladies who were so sweet and kind ( I drove to darren and the kids after he phoned me ) the police the fire service were bloody amazing - people from a flat who saw it happen came and secured the bumper - turns out he’s a mechanic - what a star - so for all the shitty drunk drivers in the world there are many many more kind and decent humans who you thank god are around. I m grateful to my very soul that Darren and the kids are ok, I could nt even dare think of what could have happened ( drunk driver was doing over 30 as he hit Darren’s stand still car at a crossing - if darren had nt been there the driver would have ran over the 3 kids darren had stopped for - ) So hold each other tight - count your blessings - I know I am xx #christmas #family #holdeachother #love #gratitude #together
