How to Make Traditional Scottish Shortbreads
1. Whip softened butter until it’s creamy
2. Add icing sugar, whip some more
3. Add rice flour, cake flour, salt, and white flour
4. Press it into a ball
5. Get your shortbread mold out of the cupboard
6. Oh wait, it’s not there
7. Search all of the cupboards where the shortbread mold could be
8. Search all of the places in the kitchen where the mold could possibly be but not likely
9. Become desperate and start searching dumb idiot places where the mold couldn’t possibly be
10. Start searching your basement and upstairs, swearing and ranting along the way
11. Go back and repeat search all of the aforementioned places
12. Cry like a small child while sitting on the kitchen floor
13. Start drinking
14. Borrow a subpar shortbread mold from your mother-in-law
15. Bake the shortbreads at 350 degrees until golden brown
16. The shortbreads come out looking pathetic, just like you
17. Roll in sugar
18. Inexplicably find the molds underneath the salad bowls in the first cupboard you searched and roar in victory and defeat at the same time
