Hi, guys. I'm really sorry I haven't been active here or on any of my profiles. The truth is I was so caught up in watching all of my favorite holiday specials, I had to neglect coming here. And let me tell you, I haven't been getting enough sleep trying so hard to keep up until December 25 (What can you expect from a Crazy, Red-Blooded, Christmas Fanatic?). But yesterday, I think I found a way to solve my problem. Though it quite hard for me to go with it, I knew it was for the best when I created the Christmas Special Shaker. First, I found a Cylinder gift Container like this one, then I had the bottom removed and taped back crookedly, next I took some blank pieces of white paper and folded and cut them down into strips the size of the ones found in fortune cookies, and after I wrote down all the names of all my favorite Christmas specials, I put them all in the container. Then I shaked it of couse and the different suggestions came out from a gap at the bottom. Moving on, I attached the words "25 days of Christmas Nostalgia" on the notebook I'm going to use from now on to keep up with the 25 Holiday Specials I watched, "Shake Me" is what I put on top of my shaker, and there's also a note taped to it which says, "It's bad trying to watch Christmas Specials all. So it's time to have a number a bit more small. 25 suggestions you may take and possibly avoid a huge headache. White them down so that next time you'll pick different specials that are also sublime. Even though change can be a misery, don't ever forget your happy holiday memories." While the strips in a plastic bag and rubber-banned are blank so if I ever see another Christmas special that I really like a lot, I can add it to my shaker. And if you're as nostalgic as me about the holidays, you can also make your own shaker the way I did it. Of course, if you find a Cylinder box that's blank, you're free to decorate it in your own special style. Happy Holidays!
This is so much fun to do... #Repost @theweekendtype ・・・ ✨HOW-TO POST!!✨ I finished stringing together some orange garland after enjoying the process so much last year, so I thought I’d share how it’s done for the curious ones. Here’s the scoop: 🍊 🍊 🍊 1. I used cuties last year, but this time I grabbed actual oranges to get a bigger size. These things really shrink down in the the process! 2. Cut the ends of the orange off, then slice in 1mm (ish) slices. The thicker they are, the longer it takes to dry them out. 3. Pat the slices with a paper towel to get as much moisture out as possible. (I used quite a bit of a paper towel roll for this.) 4. Lay slices on a wire rack, like a cookie cooling rack, on top of a cookie sheet. 5. Bake for 3 hours at 200 degrees F, flip slices over half way through bake. Enjoy the yummy smell in your house! ☺️ 6. Pull out of oven, set out overnight. 7. If they still aren’t fully dried out after being left out overnight, put them in the oven again (bonus, it’ll make your house smell so good all over again!). I put mine in for another hour and a half. Seemed to do the trick and they didn’t burn! 8. String them on whatever string you have handy. I’m using a rough jute twine. 🍊 🍊 🍊 That’s it! Go make some this week! It’s quite possibly the easiest holiday craft there is and it makes the house smell good while you’re at it 🤗 . . . . . #Christmascraft #Christmascrafting #holidaycraft #holidaycrafting #citrusgarland #orangegarland #diygarland #makesomething #getcrafty #weekendcrafting #weekendcraft #Christmasvibes #cottonstemheartsmerry #driedfruit #driedoranges #Christmastraditions #Christmasdiy #Christmashowto #waketomake #foragedhome #Christmasmood #abmholidayspirit #flatlaynation #garlandcraft #imadeit #merryandbright #Christmascheer #theweekendtype #theweekendtype (at Cleveland Heights, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6HjwSsJ_EE/?igshid=y7zpppp8i2x
