This delightful jam is made with a warm and comforting blend of cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon, along with the sweet and tart flavors of apples and cranberries. It makes a delectable addition to your holiday table or the ideal spread for your morning toast.
Ingredients: 4 cups of apples, peeled, cored, and diced. 2 cups of fresh or frozen cranberries. 2 cups of granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves. 1/4 teaspoon of salt. 1/4 cup of water.
Instructions: In a big pot, mix the diced apples, cranberries, and lemon juice. Combine the sugar, salt, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in a different bowl. After evenly coating the apples and cranberries, sprinkle the sugar and spice mixture over them and toss again. Pour in the water and give the pot a good stir. Stirring constantly, place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. After the mixture reaches a boiling point, lower the heat to a simmer and cook, stirring periodically, until the fruit is tender and the mixture has thickened, about 30 to 40 minutes. After taking the pot off of the burner, allow it to cool slightly. Process the mixture until it reaches the consistency of jam by carefully blending it with an immersion blender or potato masher. Put the pot back on low heat and simmer it for a further five to ten minutes, stirring all the time to prevent burning. Take the jam off the stove and allow it to cool fully. After transferring the jam into sterile jars, make sure the lids are tight, and refrigerate. Savor your homemade Apple-Cranberry Jam with a hint of cinnamon as a delectable condiment or on toast or pancakes!
