Drifting through the multiverse?
Congratulations. You’ve found the solution.
Shout out to @aswan-jaguar,the anon from a while back, who came very close (in fact technically included this very text in their ask) but was not only in anon but also seemed to be trying to answer the wrong question.
For clarity of all those participating:
The speaker is the plane of Shandalar. You have met before, as it has appeared in previous sets, as well as its own video game; it once was home to ogres, the Onakke, but no longer is; A hive of slivers makes its home there, a growing population that becomes ever more concerning; it is bursting with magic to the point nearly everything there is alive.
While Shandalar does lie in the Blind Eternities, as all planes do, Shandalar happens to be the only plane for which “I don’t know” can be an accurate location. It is a rogue plane, travelling through the multiverse randomly. It is very difficult to travel to, and seems to ignore constraints such as the Shard of the Twelve Worlds, which it passed in and out of while it existed. This is why the Blind Eternities was one order off; it wasn’t specific enough.
Any planes that weren’t Shandalar were two orders off, for being the wrong plane, and for not having the right location. Any places, people, or objects were three orders off, therefore, for being even more inaccurate.
@hazoretspartyfavors came very close with “lost”, but as they were using Jace as the speaker, their logic was unsound and therefore the answer was incorrect.
Further shout outs to @anyamos, @formalcasual, @tempus-vulpes, @sets-wendigo, @gardianforce, @nalisarc, fickedup, and a number of anons for coming close with Blind Eternities or any of its pseudonyms (The Abyss, the Nether Void, the Bastard Plane).
And to @lazotep-phyrexian, @actualborossoldier, and probably a number of others I forget now who were helping to lead the community through the riddle.
I do have riddle #3 ready to go, but I’m going to wait to start on that until I know I’ll be able to be up for quite some time to get the ball rolling.
