😎 i'm dying to know more about phil... tell me about the first time he got shot at

Phil weaseled out of active military and spent the time doing mind numbing research and far less boring lab work for proxy projects that needed more hands in the military’s ever expanding projects. This however taught him very well how to make most of the standard chems during any downtime and allowed him some pocket-money that was mostly overlooked because who doesn’t need some Buffout to give them an edge for PT, and the steady supply of Mentats is necessary, right? 

One night while waiting for the connecting bus to get home, after selling a fairly large order of Mentats to a lab colleague, that he was told not to more than a few times (but the woman is an adult it is her choice and he is not going to make her choices for her), another co-worker (poorly) tried to shoot Phil from the bus shelter across the street. He shot the co-worker in the thigh to prevent any more retaliation and went home - adrenaline but not really surprised.

post war he walked over to Concord and saw the raiders and noped the other direction. He later ran into a few raiders on the other side of Abernathy farm and kinda went “Well shit, okay I see how it is.”

💉 : Addictions

Christopher got addicted to jet shortly after the invasion of Adams Air Force Base as a way to cope with the stress of being the “Lone Wanderer”. After the Brotherhood kicked him to the curb, he sought treatment in Megaton and went clean from that point on. 

Sophia’s never been one for addictive substances, even alcohol. She’s seen too many addicted Freesiders come through the Old Mormon Fort to allow it to happen to herself. 

Thomas is a heavy smoker but has vowed to stay clean of anything harder than tobacco after he helped Cait get clean. There’s also been a few wild nights at the Third Rail that result in Whitechapel Charlie kicking the two of them and MacCready out, but they never do anything besides drink on those nights.

Kristine isn’t much for chems, but she and Preston will split a bottle of whiskey on special occasions, which are few and far between. Although she has set up medical stands at Sanctuary and the Red Rocket Outpost, she insists that any chems that go through there are for medical use ONLY.

what is phillip's ideal date :v

Pre and post war both it probably involves alcohol, either because it is what he is used to (not really a secret he has been a ‘functional alcoholic’ since his late teens) or because of some vague expectation of needing it to be less anxious. its a problem. Ideally it would end up involving far less than he expects, though. 

Prewar it would probably be something like a dinner (not a picnic), walk at some nature area to talk but not need to be too stuffy about it (be prepared to have a grownass man play tag or something. really. anyone that got that far knows to be prepared for shenanigans). Maybe a drive-in movie depending on the date, it probably wouldn’t be watched, whatever. Ball games and bars wouldn't happen, prewar bars are only for a short stopover.

Postwar tavern/bars are more acceptable as there are less people and its a little more food geared than just booze anyway, usually, but he still wouldn't be going to the Third Rail for a date or anything. Settlement/outpost bar/eateries are an option though. Less raider inclined would probably end up being ‘Lets go to this weird place that is pretty, but it is a little creepy’ like up on a nice overpass that has been fixed up, and has a really nice sunset view, but whoever he is with isn’t quite sure if it is his fixing up or some random raider’s camp with a chem station. I could see him thinking a trip to HalluciGen was a date with a companion or a good enough fighter, fancy chemicals an theyre all his now. With a raider, or raider adjacent date he would have a good time even doing something dumb at the racetracks or one of the arena fights in all honesty.

(ideal is so fickle he has his opinions, but it depends on who he is with, obviously. hes a jerk but he is not completely selfish.)

22. What’s their favorite season?

Spring because he loves rain (makes him less worried about stuff lighting on fire which happens a lot around his pyrokinetic ass)

23. Do they have a temper or are they level headed?

It’s hard to set off his temper because he’s just a very chilled out kind of dude, but he’s also touchy about certain things so if someone hits one of his buttons he might go the fuck off

24. Do they express their emotions freely or hide their true feelings?

it’s not so much that dacian hides his true feelings he’s just very very bad at expressing them with words. he’s more likely to broadcast sad vibes into someone’s brain 

25. Are they a leader or a follower?

Follower because it keeps him from drawing attention to himself

26. How do they come off to others? What first impression do they usually make?

For people passing by he would make almost 0 impression, and to anyone who speaks to him he’d come across as a weird hippie who lives off mushrooms and exists about 50% in the astral plain at all times 

27. Do they prefer to travel alone or with company? Who have they traveled with if any? Current companion if any?

He prefers company but has a difficult time finding people who get along with him well enough, he has hired a lot of bodyguards in the past though; including his current companion, Irmgard

28. Would you describe them as selfless or selfish? Does it depend on the situation?

Kind of depends but for the most part he’s quite selfish. Which is largely a result of not having much in his life. if he owns something (caps, food, weapons) it would take a lot to make him share unless he got something out if it

Probably depends how well she deals with his inconsistency, I mean, as you do in raider circles to whatever extent anyway. There is the things that are consistent enough of course but he attempts to keep everyone on their toes. It is kindof charming, and sortof endearing. Sometimes he is also a fuckin’ asshole about it though and takes things too far.
