What’s news?
I’ve looked through all the three newspapers that were given for analysis and I chose the one which layout attracted my attention more. This is a web version of the daily newspaper The Wall Street Journal.
The first that caught my eyes are masthead and index that help you to understand what kind of newspaper it is. After I updated the site, after searching the rubric “WSJ- Magazine” section “Travel”, I saw at the home page red box with the title “Breaking news”. It means that you will be able to know all the latest news in the world not only choosing the exact section, but wherever you are in the site you will be warned. (As I understood right, there is a person, or a group of people, who look after the web site all day long and even at !nights! to cover all the news in the world! That’s incredible.)
The site is colorful and elaborate, often you may see ads in bright boxes of many interesting articles. (You are lucky if you catch an article “Why this time (four or five p.m. I don’t remember) is the most productive?”)
Mostly this newspaper is based on politics events. However there are a lot of sections to choose, so every person can find the item that is attractive for him, either it market news, new car model, or the latest fashion. This paper gives you an opportunity to allow designing a personalized paper that contains only the news of interest to a person.
As I understood you may visit this site freely. But if you want to subscribe it will takes you one dollar (only! seriously?!) for three months (that was a Monday sale).
And in general, I liked the layout, it is easy to follow and easy to understand, you have all the necessary at hand and I advise you to read it.
PS I advise you to visit section travel, where you will fine nice images of seafood…
PSS Also you can find opinions of celebs on movies, books, art…that’s interesting!
?Do you read newspapers?
I read newspapers rarely... actually when my grandmother does one and I accidentally find this one somewhere in the house. I have lots of newspapers in my house, because every morning a postman delivers a few ones to us (why does it happen, I wonder...?)
Why don’t I read newspapers? Because I have the gadget and all the necessary apps to learn fresh news. Our “modern” generation adjusted to move a finger on the phone screen, not to turn the pages, I think. Even if we speak about kinds of book (I mean an e-book or a printed one), the majority would choose an e-book, because it’s more convenient.
P.S. Actually I don’t know another reason why I don’t read newspapers, but I have my phone and the internet and I can even find this or that newspaper online.

In the US for 3 months.
October 31 I flew out of Prague, to be gone for 3 months. It's hard to describe how different this departure is, as I left home (Ostrava/Czech) for home (Hawaii/USA). There's nothing special about flying internationally on Halloween, and no one was dressed up, but I had to wonder if they would.
I'm in the US for the next 3 months, and am heading out today from Florida after a few days here. My goal is to connect with individuals on my support team and in my home church, meet with new individuals to raise a bigger support team and $1,000/month of regular financial support. I'm asking God to provide for my needs, and I'm inviting and asking individuals to ask God what they should give to him specifically for this ministry. It's been fascinating to study support and giving as I've headed into my home assignment.
My goal is also to connect with friends and family, to rest a bit, and to get ready for the years of ministry ahead. I plan to keep reading good books during this time of connecting and meeting. I plan to have a busy schedule when I get to Hawaii because I am excited to get back to the ministry in Czech.
I also am using this time to connect via video call online.
