Shoutout to Homeofwriter

I wanna give a very loud shoutout to my dear friend, @homeofwriter , an incredible writer and person. Who just radiates positivity in all its senses.  They have one published novel called Mystic Quest (which you can read here) The synopsis here:

“A world full of demons. A prophecy. The start of a journey for better days, where the outcome is not certain. Will it be the good end, or the bad end..? (But Fate has been playing its cards for a long time, and not all is as clear as it seems...) A sequel will come, fulfilling the second part of the summary!”

 They´re also working on a second novel called Bonds Of Fate, a story about how fate ties people together.

Tamlen has a Brecillian Sure-Foot hart called Willow that accompanied him during most of his journeys and became a deer dear friend :D He got her back in Haven already, although once in a while when she needed some rest after a longer journey he could also be seen on the backs of horses, dracolisks, and according to rumors even a giant nug!

41: Under which banner did your Inquisitor claim areas?

As in, the banners you see in Skyhold? In game I usually pick the Dalish banners, although headcanon-wise I imagine the whole Skyhold decoration stuff to work a bit differently. For example, there being a bit of a mix of different banners displayed depending on the occasion and also in general, while the actual banner for claiming areas thing probably isn’t really a thing and just a game mechanic.

42: Which bed does your Inquisitor sleep in at night (if they ever sleep)?

I really like the Avvar bed for some reason xD The one with the bear xD I think Tamlen would like that too, cosy and practical. Although again, headcanon-wise, I imagine it to be slightly different. A mix between the Avvar bed and one of the Ferelden standard beds maybe? (I should really draw all my interior headcanons at some point….)

43: Which materials does your Inquisitor prefer for armor?

Leather over anything else really :D It’s light but sturdy, ideally in the middle between comfort and practicality. For colours he prefers darker tones, greenish, brown and black in particular, to blend in with nature. Some parts on his armour are later reinforced with metal though, just for some additional protection - he’d never go full metal armour though. Way too loud when trying to sneak around :D

44: Which mineral does your Inquisitor consider the most beautiful?

He is very fond of veridium, because green is his favourite colour, so when he gets the chance to request some changes for his armour he asks the metal to be veridium. Can’t fight crime when you don’t look cute :D

1 to 3 for the relationship meme?

Thank you! :D I’m answering for Tamlen and Dorian, as usual almost :D

1. How did they first kiss?

This pretty much happens the same way it happens in game, although there are two or three instances before where it almost happens, too. The first instance is after “Last Resort of Good Men”, when they are still on the road travelling back to Skyhold after the not so pleasant meeting with Dorian’s father. In the evening at the campfire they have a long-ish conversation about family and their expectations, but instead of a kiss the conversation eventually ends with a hug. The next instance where Tamlen thought about kissing Dorian but didn’t go through with it was where you can kiss him in game the first time, too, after the first conversation back at Skyhold. But Dorian was vulnerable and Tamlen held himself back. The third instance where it almost happened was a couple of evenings after that in the tavern. Both were slightly drunk, but then Mother Giselle ruined the mood :D I wrote about that a quite while ago here.

The actual first kiss happened the morning after that. Tamlen was talking to Leliana about [something I want to write/ draw soonish hopefully] when he heard Giselle and Dorian bickering downstairs. After that it plays out pretty much like in game, with the small addition that Tamlen doesn’t let Dorian just walk away after the kiss :D (something along the lines of “you can’t just kiss me like that end then walk away talking about how we should meet in private some other time”).

2. Who flirts more?

I’d say Dorian, and he’s also better at it. Tamlen is rather easily flustered when it comes to flirting and more than once stumbled on his own words when trying to be suave. But the “practise” with Dorian helped him improve his skills definitely :D

3. How did the relationship start?

It developed into a relationship really slowly I’d say, from mutual respect, to friendship, to love. Particularly for Dorian it’s “official” after their first night together and the conversation about what they both wanted (which still breaks my heart everytime I get there in game. Particularly when Dorian talks about how he learned “not to hope for more” back in Tevinter). But actually I think it starts a lot sooner, as soon as the first kiss at least or even sooner. There is a low moment in between the first kiss and the first night though, when they return to Skyhold after Adamant for a few weeks. It was generally a rather stressful time and they couldn’t spend as much time together as they did on the road for a bit, to the point where everything started to feel weird, a bit like what had happened before between them had been just a dream that was now over. But it got better again, thankfully, and also rather soon after the relationship also became “official” as I said, and there were no doubts anymore. I hope I’m making sense :D

Hello! I plan on the long term to use RPG Maker engines, and would eventually start with the free version (VX Ace Lite right?). However, I see that the license doesn't allow profits, but I'm not sure what they mean exactly? I know it means the games made would be free, but considering I have a Patreon, is it profits if I gain Patrons from the games?

I can’t tell you since I’m not well versed in RPG Maker legal talk (and yes, you’re right).   It’s better to ask one of the forums dedicated to RPG Maker or Steam than me in this case, someone will probably give you a better (or official!) answer on this subject,
