Fun fact this au is really old and different from the original concept I have which I'm planning on making into another au of that original concept because this new version is too soft...in a way.
Also the plot is being updated as we speak so here's the updated version.
Basically everything takes place in Tropical Land which shuts down under the impression of opening a new location, however Shinichi, Heiji, Sera and Eisuke decided to break sneak into the long abandoned theme park to find Eisuke's older sister who was one of the night guards that mysteriously vanished.
Although they originally wanted to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of the night guards, they seem to have gotten more than what they barge for as they unravel the dark secrets left hidden in this park.
This is the present arc which I'll be calling the Abandoned Dreams Arc, the park is rundown at this point and there are many rumours about the place which were about how the animatronics were alive or were possessed by the ghosts of missing people.
Of course there are three other arcs before this but I'm not finished writing about those yet.
Tropical Land in this au has two areas, one is the surface area where most of the attractions are but the other area is located below the park which is where most of the animatronics were kept.
The lower area is a large underground storage area of some kind, it's where the animatronics are stored or repaired, the electric system is also kept down there alongside the security room.
The teens do get separated when they get attacked and chased by the animatronics that were somehow still activated and roaming in the halls of the lower area.
They are split into two groups during the chaos, one stuck below with the animatronics while the other group stuck above the park who can't leave because the entrance is locked for some reason and the wire fences are too high and have barbed wires above them.
Plus there are animatronics roaming around.
They eventually decided to try and figure out how to shut down the animatronics and survive, but as they did they began to find files, tapes, missing posters, notes and weirdly enough corrupted games that hinted at what had happened to not only the missing night guards but also the other mysteries that the park has kept buried.
