Elena flips through the patient records and finds the one she wants, pulling it out to check the examination results from last month and frowning slightly as she compares it with the results from today, making calculations within her mind. She jots down a quick note of some information for Atsushi to deliver to the patient tomorrow. He has always been more comfortable with handling various social interactions than her. Well, she's gotten better since her teenage days - and isn't that something? Mary would probably be surprised to see her improvement, not that Elena has seen her in quite a while - but it's just easier and simpler to let him do it. First time patients - and even the non-first time ones, honestly - automatically assume she's just the assistant, and want to hear their questions answered by him because it sounds more professional.
It suits her, actually, to take on the quieter role, handling the non-interactive parts of the job. Administrative tasks. Counting the inventory and making sure to clear out the expired medicines, tracking which ones they need to place an order again. Pharmaceutical work - well, as much pharmaceutical work that a small clinic like theirs requires, anyway.
She misses the Shirohato Pharmaceuticals days, sometimes. Before it went bankrupt and she and Atsushi decided to open their own clinic. Misses the research they were doing there, the bold idea they were testing out - still at the very early stages with nothing concrete to show, but they had a direction, they had ideas they were planning to try, theories worth digging deeper into - well, that's all in the past, now.
I made banners for each member of the Wild Police Story creww over the course of a few days, feel free to use them preferably with credit! Each banner has flowers and I've explained what they all mean and how they (hopefully) represent every character!
I think the sakura branch looks really nice with Rei looking back at the sakura petals like he's thinking of the other four
Marigolds represent the flowers of the dead in Mexico, where they believe that the flower's bright colours and strong scent would guide dead or lost spirits back to their families, and as this guy has gone through so much losses, what better flower than it
For no reason, I just think bluebells suit Hiro very well, don't know why I got the feeling
Hiromitsu means light in Japanese (according to the internet, if I'm wrong please correct me!) and moonflowers represent light and thriving in darkness in flower symbolism, and I like to think that Hiro's the light in Rei's life
I tried a different style for Matsuda's and made it a bit blurrier than the rest for that kind of dreamy and drowsy effect
Anyways, Matsu in Japanese means pine trees, which represent longevity and resilience because they are some of the only trees which also grow in winter and it does remind me a lot of Matsuda, as I picture him as the steadfast one in their crew and also the one who can withstand more criticism and hits than the others (not that I'm implying the rest are weak I just have the image)
So pine cones it is

Anyways, Hagi in Japanese represents bush clovers which means flexibility and resilience which kinda matches Hagiwara I think it shows because Hagiwara as a girl's man, and some girls (and Matsuda & Chihaya) change their plans all the time imo so he has to go with the flow

Sunflowers follow the sun as they grow from a seed to a flower, so does Date, following the law and rules his dad taught him since he was a kid and as he grew up he followed and respected them ( I think he does, otherwise why would he be the class president of the police academy back then) all the way till his death
