My GPA is above 5.0 but I’m still in bachelor program. Should I contact the registration office? Or request program change to get into honours?

If this is after academic decisions were made and it’s your cumulative GPA that’s above 5.0, then yes. Contact the Registrar’s Office. You shouldn’t need to submit a program change request if you didn’t meet Honours standing, the change is supposed to happen automatically (unless they changed something this year). Clarify with your academic advisor.

If I’ve completed 90 credits and didn’t meet the honours requirement, do I put back into honours when my GPA reaches 5.0? Or is there anything I have to do to get into honours?

Yes. Once you bring up your GPA you will automatically be switched back to Honours.

(honours warning anon here), I just checked my degree progress report and they automatically switched me from the non-honours to an honours degree even thought I'm about to graduate after the summer with 90 credits.

Hi. If I meet the honours progression requirements for second year (2.25 GPA) with a total of 51 credits and take a summer school course that leaves me with 54 credits at the end of S1 (which falls into the third year category) even tho my GPA is not a 4.80 will my academic stating be re-evaluated and will I be kicked out of my program?

Your summer courses will not be taken into account because the academic decision is made before that for the Fall/Winter session. So, you need a 4.25 GPA to continue in Honours before you start the summer session.

Once the summer session is over (August), another academic decision will be made and you will need 4.80 to continue in Honours. Your academic decison for the summer will not update until SU is over, even if you’re done in S1.

First year kine student below cGPA (4.00) requirement, placed on academic warning...

Hi, if I am being placed on academic warning as a kine student, I’ll be automatically placed in psych for 2nd year, right? But if I’m planning to take a summer course (SU) to boost my GPA back up, above 4.00, so I can remain in BSC Honour standing… Will they automatically place us back into the kine program for 2nd year? Also, I failed a 3 credit course in the fall semester, is it too late to try and petition the grade off my transcript? Thanks.

If you’re on academic warning then you’ve probably already been switched over to Psychology or asked to change your program (check your academic decision).

Students who do not maintain Honours standing are not eligible to continue in the Kinesiology and Health Science Program and must select another major.

No you can’t remain in Honours because you don’t meet the GPA requirement, and you won’t get back into Kine automatically, you’ll have to apply for a program change to go back to your original program.
