hey, so i saw some post about the judo-flip in MoA and how it is abusive. What's your thought on it?

i don't believe the judo-flip was abusive because annabeth isn't abusive. abuse is characterized by a power imbalance of which can take many forms, but is its most noticable as physical. the judo-flip, while physically assertive, does not cultivate a power imbalance in their relationship, and even though annabeth follows it by threatening him to never abandon her again, she does not mean that literally, as percy was abducted and did not leave by choice. furthermore, and most importantly, percy's laughter in this scene demonstrates not only that he doesn't feel threatened or controlled, but understands the judo-flip was an expression of her pain and relief, not of aggression. to claim that annabeth's judo-flip of percy in 'the mark of athena' was an absuive act does not contexualize the situation to its entirety.

opinion on lesbian piper headcanon? (basically where she likes girls and was manipulated hy hera into likening jason, afterwards she did like him but later realized it was platonic and that’s when they broke up)

This is what I believe happened. Since I’m pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong) her sexuality is not confirmed I wouldn’t say that shes in canon lesbian but I do think she is. I honestly think Annabeth was her awakening and she felt jealous of percabeth relationship but she was really jealous of Percy.

Here is the thing, I don't think Percy and Annabeth would get married.

Reason: They want to mess with Hera.

Like, I imagine they will get rings with stones that are the other's eye color (provided by Hazel and Leo) and they will call each other husband and wife, but they never officially get married. Just to mess with Hera.

I think Percy would discover he could blood bend accidentally. I think that after Akhlys, he knew he could blood bend, but he never tried it. Like, during the heat of a battle, someone tries to get Annabeth, and he gets this heavy tugging in his gut and suddenly the guy is spilling blood from all his orifices.

@hibiscusspunweb I agree! If I could expand on this headcanon:

I think Percy would be afraid of that part of himself because he associates it with the one time he scared Annabeth. He'd compare himself to Gabe, asking himself if he's as bad as him since he had to use fear to get his way. It isn't until he accidentally does it, scaring himself and Annabeth, that he tries to suppress that power — something he's never done with any of his abilities before. Unsurprisingly, it takes a toll on him because the sea does not like to be restrained. Poseidon eventually has to step in and reassure him that blood-bending is a dangerous practice, but using it in moderation is not inherently bad under necessary circumstances, like Tartarus. After some reflection, Percy and Annabeth sit down and have a genuine discussion about this ability and move toward understanding it (and each other) instead of trying to ignore it.

I asked specifically on percy because people in the fandom have such differing opinions on this, but what do you think the other pjo and hoo characters are? (Extroverts, introverts, ambiverts, etc)?

this is such a delicious question! in my head, percy and annabeth are both introverted people unless they're around people they know. nico is an introvert because of trauma but is slowly becoming more sociable. grover is an extrovert who just wants to care for people. thalia is an ambivert but says she's an introvert so she can get out of talking to people she doesn't like. and i'm not too familiar with the hoo characters, but leo is definitely an introvert who pretends to be an extrovert to compensate for his low self-esteem (am i projecting a little? probably).

How they gonna explain to Jason’s school that he died? Would the mist do something?

listen. i haven't read ttoa or completed hoo. (i know. please don't rescind my blog lmao). and i don't know how the books have or will handle jason dying in the mortal world. but for the sake of leaving well enough alone, the mist could make it seem like jason was never there to begin with. this way, media outlets won't conspire about jason's sudden disappearance being linked with other spotted sighting of demigod kids the mortal can't make sense of, i suppose.

Honestly, it's a choice. Not because I don't think that I'd enjoy it. It's just hard to resume something I put down eight years ago. But I have considered getting back into it in light of some fanfics I'd like to write in the future. Good questions, and thanks for asking :)
